    "This farm was established in 2910 as a studhorse farm under the jurisdiction of the former Horse Administration Bureau. After WWII, the farm continued to work to improve agricultural horse stock, later expanding to the improvement and propagation of sheep, and the improvement of beef and dairy cattle, leading to the present day. The 1.3-kilometer-long avenue of white birches on the farm's grounds has received the ""Beautiful Woods"" designation from Otofukue and has even been used as a shooting location for television dramas. Note that the farm does not have any toilets or stores and does not sell souvenirs or dairy products, etc. A 30-minute drive from Obihiro Station."

Fishing here requires an advance application. Visitors can fish for chum salmon and pink salmon using lure fishing, fly fishing, or bait fishing; in principle, all fish caught must be released.

Several endurance rides, events in which riders on horseback compete to set the best time covering a long distance, are held in Shikaoi Town each year.     This equestrian center is located in Shintoku Town, the fourth largest town in Japan. This trekking course, which is open to sixth-grade children to 65-year-olds, is a wild course that you can walk in the forest of Sahoro following beast paths and fords. The glass floats made using recycled glass were created to replace the wooden floats formerly used by fishers. Today in Japan, this manufacturer is the only one that still makes these glass floats. One gets a sense of the ocean in the store's interior and displays. The round floats come in two patterns, those where a plug navel is placed over the blow hole, and those that are open-holed floats filled with shells or sand, made into lamps or planters, etc. The suspension ropes come in two colors. These glass floats have also been featured in television dramas. By reservation, visitors can try their hand at blowing glass.
