A full spectrum of flowers bloom in this flower park, located in Tochigi Prefecture. One particularly famous specimen is the wisteria said to be over 140 years old, and designated as a Prefectural Natural Monument. Many visitors come from all over the country during peak season when Japan’s largest wisteria and white Japanese wisteria bloom and form a tunnel. In winter, you’ll find one of the largest illumination displays in Kanto, with four million light bulbs.

I think it is better to visit maybe end of April. Even though we enjoyed the garden very much but most of the flowers already bloomed and maybe some with leftover late bloomers.

This Edo-period theme park is located in Karakura, Nikko City. You’ll find authentic-feeling replicas of everything from merchant district to warrior homes, ninja villages, and many other areas inspired by Edo-period townscapes. There’s a facility where visitors can dress up as Edo-period townspeople and warriors, as well as a playhouse, restaurant, and Edo artisanal experiences, allowing them to truly feel like they’re in the Edo period. Many seasonal events are held as well.

Very good place. Who like samurai and ninja must visit here. Very recommended place to visit. You can change your clothes to become ninja or samurai or etc.

This safari park is located in Takakuhei, Nasu Town. In addition to observing nearly 70 animal species in the ecological exhibits, including lions, giraffes, rhinoceroses, and bison, visitors can also enjoy feeding the herbivorous animals. Tochigi Prefecture’s Otawara City is home to the prefecture’s only aquarium. In tanks replicating the ecology of the Nakagawa River, you can see creatures that inhabit a range of environments from the source to the river’s lower reaches. The huge tube-type tunnel aquarium featuring fish from the Amazon River like the enormous arapaima and piranha is a must see. There are many interactive areas as well, including touching tanks where visitors can encounter crayfish and starfish directly.

Nice aquarium but we have been spoiled having been to much larger aquariums in the world, but a great place for a family, not too expensive and some nice attractions for the kids!
