    "The Honda Collection Hall is a museum of Honda products located within the Twin Ring Motegi racetrack, around 30 minutes' drive from the Mito-Kita Smart Interchange on the Joban Expressway. The main focus is on Honda's motorcycles and cars; the second floor exhibits present the history of Honda's commercial products, while the third floor charts the development of Honda's involvement in motor sport. The first floor has the ""ASIMO Super Live"" zone, where visitors can see a functioning ASIMO robot. Special exhibitions are held throughout the year, and the ""Pit Workshop,"" housed in a separate building, has a range of experience-type activities that visitors can enjoy, including vehicle assembly and part-changing activities."

    The Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art and Ceramic Art Messe Mashiko are located around 20 minutes' drive from the Sakuragawa-Chikusei Interchange of the Kita-Kanto Expressway, via the Tomobe Junction of the Joban Expressway. The Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art features works by the late Mr. Shoji Hamada, who was a designated Living National Treasure, as well as works by other ceramists associated with the town of Mashiko. On the same site, there are also the Sasajima Kihei Hall, which has permanent exhibitions of works by the printmaker Kihei Sasajima, who studied under Shiko Munakata, and the Mashiko Arts & Crafts Residence, which hosts artists-in-residence from all over the world as part of an international exchange program. Shoji Hamada's House, which has been designated as a Cultural Property by the town of Mashiko, includes a reconstruction of the climbing kiln that Mr. Hamada used.

    This urban park selected as one of Japan's 100 best is among the finest in Tochigi Prefecture. The park covers 93.3 hectares of hilly terrain with mixed groves of trees including jolcham oak, sawtooth oak, and Japanese red pine that surround the central Igashira Pond. The park's Ichimannin Pool water park and its boating pond are especially popular. Some of the park's other facilities include a rose garden, an alpine plant greenhouse, and an athletic field.

    Shoji Hamada was a potter and living national treasure. This memorial hall in Mashiko Town, Haga County, Tochigi Prefecture showcases his pottery collection. Of course, Mr. Hamada’s own work is on display, as is the work of his colleagues Kawai Kanjiro, Bernard Leach, and others. The facility consists of Hamada’s residence and a portion of his workshop. An exhibition hall, studio, his climbing kiln, and a seasonal flower garden are all open to the public.

    Great visit to view a little of Shoji Hamadas life and reflect on his influence on ceramics. Theres an entry fee and takes about 30-45 min to walk through.

    An art museum in Nasu County, Tochigi Prefecture. Managed by Iwamura Kazuo, author of beloved picture books such as the 14 Little Mice series and the Little Squirrel series, the exhibits center around the themes of picture books and nature. Inside the museum you'll find three exhibition spaces along with a small hall, a reading corner, and a shop which sells picture books and goods. In the tea room you can enjoy handmade cakes while passing the time away.

    友達が大好きな14ひきシリーズ、その中の三巻には、寺島尚彦さんの連弾組曲が作曲されています。ミュージアムショップで、その貴重な楽譜を購入しました。オンデマンド版注文生産の楽譜には、表紙の可愛い絵が無いので、買えて良かったです。館内のグランドピアノでコンサートも開かれるとのこと、コンサートの時に来たいです。

    This museum features permanent exhibits about the Yamaage Matsuri of Karasuyama, UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage and a National Important Intangible Cultural Heritage. In the exhibit hall, visitors can see the actual oyatai (building-shaped stage decoration) used in the festival's kabuki performances. The museum's popular miniature theater recreates an actualstage and the townscape in which it took place in 1/5 scale.

The shop’s soothing interior has been built from over 300-year-old wood and features wooden dining furniture. They offer a variety of dishes like a waffle plate, cream pasta, and sweet potatoes popular for their mild flavor. Food and drink is served with Mashiko ware. The gallery space displays a wealth of Mashiko ware from pieces for ordinary use to those for high class entertaining.

    木のスプーンが欲しいと同行者、陶器祭りの時に品数が有ったような記憶で訪問。残念ながら思うようなスプーンがなかったが、他の店舗には無い感じの器の数々。併設のカフェで一息、餡蜜と自分は生オレンジジュースをオーダー。オレンジを絞る微かな音・・・素敵な陶器にクラッシュした氷にオレンジジュース、濃くて甘酸っぱく身体が一気にリフレッシュ。帰りのドライブも頑張れます。

Every year from mid-April to early May a carpet of red, pink, white and purple phlox glorious cover the park slopes with blooms. The view is splendid, not only from the walking paths but is also exquisite looking down from the observatory. The Phlox Festival is held during the peak blooming season.

All you can eat freshly picked fully ripened large Tochiotome strawberries, known for their sweetness and juiciness, can be enjoyed without any time limit.

    This go-cart and motorbike racing ground is 10 minutes from the Moka Interchange on the Kita-Kanto Expressway. Surrounded by lush natural beauty, the facility is replete with a 620-meter-long racing course and a 420-meter-long rental course. Max speeds range from 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. You can also bring your own go-cart or motorbike to enjoy an even more authentic racing experience. The facility has go-carts for children and two-person carts and also rents helmets, making it easy even for beginners and children to have fun go-cart racing.

    This nature park is located on a hill in Nakagawa Town. The spacious grounds are replete with a museum, training center, pond, and playground. There are many historic sites in the surrounding area, including the Kami-Samuraizuka Kofun and Shimo-Samuraizuka Kofun zenpo-koho-fun double conjoined rectangle burial mound tombs, discovered by Tokugawa Mitsukuni; and the Nasu Kanda Castle Site, said to be the birthplace of Nasu no Yoichi, and visitors to the area can learn about the history and culture of the Nasu area from a variety of angles. The Furusatokan hall is a facility which leverages the area's historical sites and natural beauty and is built with an abundance of Yamizo cedar. In the Fureainoie restaurant adjoining the park, customers can enjoy soba noodles made by locals.

Most visits to Tochigi revolve around Nikko, a small city home to the spectacular, lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine and Nikko National Park with its mountains, lakes, waterfalls, onsen, and wild monkeys. Neighboring Oku-Nikko is an extension of the fantastic scenery famous for its autumn leaves, while Tochigi's capital, Utsunomiya, is the only place in the world where you can find oya stone beautifully exhibited in temples and the Oya History Museum.
