    "This aquarium is located within Ocean Expo Park on Motobu Town. A number of species are raised in one of the world's biggest tanks, including whale sharks over eight meters in length, and large reef manta rays. In addition, the seas of Okinawa are replicated in meticulously crafted exhibits, such as the shallow seas with spreading coral or the deep ocean. Also, the restaurant ""Ino"" offers a lunch buffet with an ocean view (there are breakfast and a la carte times as well), which you can make use of without entering the aquarium. There are dolphin shows (free) to enjoy in the ""Okichan Theater"" outside too."
  • Mihama American Village

    It is a major resort area that opened in 1998. It runs along Chatan Town’s National Highway Route 58 and the large Ferris wheel on the seashore is a landmark. There are a large number of shops and restaurants, including amusement facilities which are mainly popular among young people. The adjacent sunset beach as its name suggests is the perfect spot to view the beautiful setting sun. In the evening, you can enjoy the brilliant illumination of the Ferris wheel.

They can also try their hand at traditional handcrafts at the Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town, which is lined with old folk homes that are registered as national tangible cultural properties. Other attractions include the eisa dance performances and habu shows. The park also features a souvenir shop offering a wide range of souvenirs and even a craft beer brewery.
  • Peace Memorial Park

    Straddling the boundary between Itoman City and Yaese Town, Shimajiri District, the Peace Memorial Park is a Quasi-National Park that includes beautiful natural scenery and also historical sights commemorating the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. There is an observation platform with good views along the coast. The area within the Park saw some of the fiercest fighting during the Battle of Okinawa, and was the location of the Japanese Army’s last line of defense. Within the Park, the Peace Memorial Museum houses displays of photographs and relics relating to the Battle, as well as the National War Dead Peace Mausoleum, which records the names of all the people who died during the Battle, along with more than 100 individual memorial steles and cenotaphs. Besides being a place dedicated to the dream of global peace and which aims to send out a message of peace, the Park is also a place that many families visit on weekends and public holidays for picnics and recreation.

There’s also a movie theater, game center, and various other forms of entertainment. You can relax and have a meal in the restaurants and cafes, and there’s room for the whole family. The closest station is Omoromachi Station on the Okinawa Monorail (Yui Rail).

    T Galleria is a duty-free shopping complex located in Naha City’s new downtown area, accessible from Omoromachi Station on the Okinawa Urban Monorail (Yuirail) line. It is the only place in Japan where visitors can enjoy duty-free shopping without needing to show their passports. T Galleria’s target customers are people who will be traveling from Naha Airport on domestic flights to other parts of Japan, and people with tickets for international flights. Duty-free goods can be purchased up to two hours before departure, and then collected at the Duty Free Shopping (DFS) counter in Naha Airport. Besides popular fashion and cosmetics brands, T Galleria also sells Okinawa souvenirs such as Awamori liquor and Chinsuko biscuits.

Visitors can travel through the park in fully-automatic “Pineapple Carts,” viewing the sub-tropical vegetation and the extensive pineapple fields. There is also a pineapple processing plant within the park; the plant has displays about everything to do with pineapples, and visitors can also view the pineapple-slicing process. In the shopping area, visitors can taste various pineapple-related beverage and food products, and buy souvenir gifts to take home.

    This Ryukyuan-style garden is in Naha City. It was first built in 1799 as a villa for the Ryukyuan kings. The garden was known as the “Southern Gardens” because of its location to the south of Shuri-jo Castle. With a winding-path design, this unique garden combines elements of Chinese and traditional Okinawan design. In 2000, the Shikina-en garden was included within the scope of the Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu UNESCO World Heritage Site. The red algae Thorea gaudichaudii C. Ag. (which has been designated as a National Natural Monument) was first discovered at the Ikutoku Spring in the Shikina-en Garden.

The museum's first floor provides exposition on the history of Tsuboya ware and the role it played in everyday life in Okinawa. The second floor presents characteristic works of Tsuboya ware as well as the production process. The museum also exhibits the works of potters including the Living National Treasure Jiro Kinjo.

    Located around seven minutes’ walk from the Prefectural Office Station on the Okinawa Urban Monorail (Yuirail) line, Fukushu-en is a Chinese-style garden that was created to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of “sister-city” relations between Fuzhou City in China and Naha City, and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Naha City Government; it reflects the fact that Chinese culture exerted a considerable influence on Ryukyuan culture in the past. The verdant garden is divided into three sections—Ming, Wen, and Hua—and is filled with beautiful seasonal flowers throughout the year. The large pond in the center of the garden features a waterfall that creates a cooling ambience.
