    The Shibetsu Salmon Museum, which you can observe how salmon spawns, displays more than 18 related species and 30 species of salmon from around the world. Visitors can learn about ecology to the salmon food culture. The museum places an emphasis on educational activities and holds events such as releasing fry (young fish). The museum is closed from December to January and is approximately 35 minutes by car from Nemuro Nakashibetsu Airport.

    Hokkaido Nemuroshi Makinouchi
    Meiji Park was built on the site of the second-oldest pastoral farm in Japan, which was established in 1875; the Park is famous for the imposing silos left over from the farm. With their striking red-brown coloration, the silos are among the oldest surviving brick silos in Japan, and have been designated as Tangible Cultural Properties. In early summer, dandelions bloom in the Park, adding an extra touch of beauty.

    観光バスノサップ号ので最初の訪問先場所がここです。サイロがかなり有名で、明治のバターのパッケージのモデルだった、と解説がありました。駐車場にはキャンピングカーがたくさん。

    A salmon fishing area on the Churui River in Shibetsu Town, Shibetsu County, Hokkaido Prefecture. This is the only river in Japan where salmon fishing is allowed, and that is only for the purpose of surveying salmon resources,, and visitors can enjoy fishing for salmon in the great outdoors of Shiretoko, an area registered as a World Heritage Site. Fishing here requires an advance application. Visitors can fish for chum salmon and pink salmon using lure fishing, fly fishing, or bait fishing; in principle, all fish caught must be released.

    An aquarium located in 6-Chome, Kita 1-jo Nishi, Shibetsu Town, Shibetsu County, Hokkaido Prefecture. The aquarium displays the fish that live in the Nemuro Strait with a focus on salmon, and, depending on the time of year, visitors can see salmon egg laying or use a viewing bridge on the grounds to watch salmon swimming upstream. In addition, visitors can pet rare Japanese huchen and sturgeon. Panels, models, and videos provide information on the ecology of salmon.

    This camp is equipped with bungalows, a grilling cabin, a cooking area, running water toilets, and other facilities. The camp makes a great base for bird watching and is visited by many tourists. From May to early June campers can enjoy clam digging at Maehama Beach (it is not possible to dig for clams every day so check ahead of time).

    This organization offers activity based sightseeing and eco-tours around Nemuro, said to be the last hidden spot in Japan. Fully two thirds of the wild birds in Japan stop in Nemuro during migration. There are bird watching tours where you can see almost 370 varieties of bird, and nature watching tours through stunning scenery reminiscent of Canada or Alaska. There are also cruises and canoe tours where you can get closer to animals, birds, and the sea, and are sure to offer a moving experience you can never find anywhere else. Please do make advance reservations and preparations, and make sure you listen closely to your guide's instructions.

In the park, established with the concept of ""a place to feel and experience the cultural scenery of Hokkaido before reclamation"", visitors can see two national historic landmarks. Highlights include the ancient pit dwellings of Ichani Karikariusu Historical Village, and the Shibestu Marshland, which covers a third of the Ozegahara Marshland, both nationally-designated historic landmarks, as well as the large 80-year old oak trees."

    ゴルフの原風景が楽しめます。だだっ広くて何もない景色、強い風。バンカーはリンクスぽくなく普通です。従業員の方はいい人ばかりでした。
