    The Tokyo Dome opened as Japan’s first covered stadium in 1988. With its dome shaped room and artificial turf field it’s the home stadium of the Yomiuri Giants. The Tokyo Dome is the core of the Tokyo Dome City urban entertainment area and doesn’t only host baseball games but also a variety of other events including concerts and exhibitions. Near entry gate 21 you’ll find the Baseball hall of fame museum where you can see uniforms of popular players and learn about the history of baseball.

    This domed baseball stadium in Nishi Ward in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture is commonly known by the name of its predecessor, the Osaka Dome, and is the home ground of the Orix Buffaloes. Comprised of nine floors above ground and one basement level, this massive baseball field is frequently used for concerts and events in addition to actual baseball games. The stadium’s shopping mall (entry free) includes an official shop selling Buffaloes merchandise. The stadium’s tours (fee required) are also popular and enable participants to see the insides of the dome and players practicing up close.

The home of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, the stadium is often used for concerts when no games are scheduled. The Oh Sadaharu Baseball Museum, which houses numerous articles related to renown Japanese baseball player Sadaharu Oh, adjoins the stadium.     The Dome holds about 38,500 people and it was a sellout for this game. That's about what Fenway seats and the crowd was just as raucous. When the hometown Hawks got a 2 run homer the place went nuts.

The stadium is also one of the largest in Japan, seating up to 72,327. The stadium was designed with a variety of features to make it easier for spectators and athletes to feel a sense of unity. In addition to sporting events, the stadium also holds tours of its lawn. A food court and shops are also located in the facility.

While it features single-layer type stands, it has the largest capacity of any baseball stadium in Japan. The “Koshien Museum,” which introduces the history of the stadium and the Tigers as well as high school baseball, is a popular attraction, as are the stadium tours. There's plenty of original food as well, and the jumbo grilled chicken skewers, Koshien curry, and Koshien fried soba are famous.
