    This restaurant specializing in regional cuisine is located on the Dogo Haikara Dori shopping arcade in Dogoyunomachi, Matsuyama City. It serves items such as set meals, rice bowls, and sushi that heavily feature local seafood from the Seto Inland Sea. One of the restaurant’s specialties is taimeshi, which refers to a number of dishes featuring sea bream served with ric e. Three different types are available; their original Nanyo-style taimeshi, which features sea bream sashimi and grated yam, hyugameshi, which is served with a raw egg, and Chuyo-style taimeshi, which features a whole sea bream steamed together with the rice.

Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
