    Tokyo Chuou-ku Nihombashi 2-9-9
A garden eel restaurant located near Nihombashi Station. Here diners can enjoy wild garden eel gathered from seasonal hunting grounds. The shop serves its eel two delicious ways – stewed and broiled. If you want to enjoy particularly tender meat, go with the stewed; if you’re looking to savor the innate savory flavor, go with the broiled. The shop also has “ainose” options giving you the chance to enjoy both in a single meal. You can also order broth for pouring over your eel to eat it chazuke style.

We went there without reservation, and luckily found a table for two. Kindai is very famous for raising tuna and popular. We had assorted sashimi shown on the top of their menu as their special, and...

Located in Tsukiji’s Market’s Outer Market in Tokyo’s Chuo City, this is a restaurant that specializes in maguro donburi (tuna rice bowls). They only offer maguro donburi featuring hon-maguro (Pacific bluefin tuna) which has been seasoned by marinating the fish with their traditional soy sauce. As guests can fully savor the original taste of the carefully selected tuna, this is a popular shop with a line of customers that has already formed when it opens. The shop is closed on Sundays, holidays and days when the market is closed.

This is an amazing place, the freshest, most tasty tuna I’ve ever eaten. Need to arrive early as st 11am the start to run over.

A sushi restaurant where you can enjoy sashimi made with high class and rare seafood selected by the discerning eye of the owner, a man who previously worked as a wholesaler and in the tuna auction site in Tsukiji Market. The most popular item on the menu is the lunch-only Tsukiji Market Jogai-don. This stunning dish consists of a seafood rice bowl consisting of around 10 varieties of seafood served on top of a bowl of chirashi sushi filled with seafood and rice. Another popular menu option is the Maguro-zukushi-don, a rice bowl topped with all manner of real, domestic tuna cuts with which you can have your choice of topping. Tokyo Toshima-ku Sugamo 4-33-2
This eatery on Sugamo Jizo-dori Shopping Street is located a ten-minute walk from Sugamo Station. Guests can enjoy meals prepared with fresh seafood in a dining atmosphere that is steeped in the Showa era. They are well-known for their sashimi offerings, which makes use of fresh ingredients brought in directly each day from a waterside fish market. This makes this spot a popular destination to enjoy fresh and seasonal seafood in a casual setting. And for an additional cost all of their menu items, including tender fried prawns and delicately flavored boiled fish, can be turned into a set meal that includes rice, miso soup, and pickled vegetables. This eatery is frequented by lots of regulars every day, but it's easy to get a seat at their counter space even if you're just dining alone.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
