"This restaurant is next to the fish market “Karo-ichi"" at Karo Port. Visitors can taste cuisine made from the local seafood such as white squid, horse mackerel, and thread-sail filefish. The famous specialty is an extravagant dish using a complete, living white squid, served whole as sashimi. It is a delicious dish where the taste of the freshly caught squid fills your mouth with sweetness."

Tottori itself is a very nice place, because its coastal line is between the sea and the forest. The air is wonderful. This venue is located within the local fresh-food market, which gives is a...

This Japanese restaurant adjoins Aeon Mall Hiezu a 10-minute drive from the Yonago Interchange on the Yonago Expressway. Situated in a corner of the Shinsen Ichiba fresh fish market in the parking lot, the restaurant serves vaunted seafood cuisine made with the freshest fish. The self-service style restaurant has a cheery and lively atmosphere. You can choose the amount of rice you get, from extra-large, large, regular, and small, and no matter what time of year it is, lines of waiting customers often form out the door. The Jo Kaisen-don seafood rice bowl is topped with whatever seafood could be stocked that day and is popular as the seafood rice bowl with the most variety of seafood toppings.

This restaurant is at the boarding area for pleasure cruises of the San'in Kaigan Geopark's Uradome Coast. They serve fare featuring fresh seafood like you can only get in a port town. Their most popular item is the Uminosachi Teishoku meal set with an assorted sashimi platter, boiled fish, and fried items you can enjoy at one sitting. It has hearty portions and comes recommended, so if you're not sure what you'd like to eat, this is for you. Squid ink is a local favorite, and their squid ink curry and curry udon noodles are packed with the flavor of squid. They also have plenty of take-out items like flying fish cutlet burgers and squid cutlet burgers.

A must try in the area for sea food lovers! The food has good quality and is speciality of the town. Also the ride after lunch is amazing option for having fun! You can feed the seagulls and its...

At Shungo Tatsumi, diners can enjoy seasonal fish and local sakes while enjoying the view of the Uradome Coast; the restaurant serves substantial portions at very reasonable prices. There is an extensive menu featuring seasonal ingredients, and whatever you order you are sure to be satisfied with your choice. The first floor has counter seating koagari (raised tatami-floored seating areas) and Western-style individual dining rooms, while the second floor has Japanese-style individual dining rooms and a large hall that can seat up to 38 people; the restaurant is thus able to satisfy a wide range of dining preferences. Shungo Tatsumi is located around seven minutes’ drive from JR Iwami Station.

The lunch sets are very reasonably priced for the portion and quality. The menu is only Japanese but everything is displayed in pictures. My whole set including tea came to 1350 yen.

This is a shop where you can eat fresh seafood from the Karo Port. The popular dish on the menu is a seafood bowl with generous portions of fish and seafood, best eaten with special sashimi soy sauce. There is also a ship-style tatami room to enjoy dining feeling as if you are on a ship.

This restaurant is without doubt the worst one I have tried in a Japanese seafood market. The seafood don is way more expensive than what is charged outside (about 3x the price). It took them 30...
