The restaurant serves course dishes created around old-fashioned narezushi pickled sushi and crafted with ingredients like lake fish, edible wild plants, and wild game. The establishment also has an outdoor bath with a sweeping view of Lake Yogo and guest rooms able to accommodate up to 10 people.

    滋賀のこんな場所に有名なお店があると知り訪問。 熊鍋は絶妙なダシのスープで美味。 オーベルジュタイプなので、宿としては期待はしていなかったのですが、 小学校の頃の合宿のような感じ。 お風呂は小さい桶のお風呂という感じです。（温泉ではありません） 場所的にも不便なので、１度行ったら十分かな、という感じです。

    A mountain river fish cuisine specialty restaurant situated along Prefectural Route 17 in Samegai, Maibara City. The restaurant serves traditional kaiseki course cuisine, gozen meals for groups, and trout and other rice bowls made using mountain river fish such as Biwa trout, a species endemic to Lake Biwa. The restaurant also offers a traditional Japanese Buddhist vegetarian course meal (reservation required). In addition, visitors can try trout fishing in the river in front of the restaurant or bring in fish caught at the nearby Samegai Trout Farm’s fish ponds to have the restaurant cook them.

    ここは古代の修行の地として有名です。現在は天台宗寺院。開山は実に６８０年と白鳳時代にまで遡ります。伊吹山にかかる修行地の一つです。開創は有名な「役行者小角」です。現在の本堂は平成２４年６月に落慶した真新しいものです。本堂は松尾山山麓に再建されているが、本日はセット旅行でもあり、参拝はしていません。政所を訪れただけです。

During the daytime, the establishment operates as Fushimiya, a restaurant primarily serving daily meal specials. At night, customers can enjoy charcoal grilled and other fresh seafood cuisine. Menu highlights include daikon radish topped with thick-cut chashu roast pork filet, and crab soup. In winter, the restaurant offers an abundant array of nabe hotpot dishes. The seafood the restaurant serves comes from across the country and was fresh-caught that very morning.

    This restaurant is owned and operated by the first fish hatchery in Japan to successfully raise char. Dedicated to the concept of delivering nature as-is, here customers can enjoy char cuisine unlike anything served anywhere else. The restaurant has a spacious tatami mat seating area. Meanwhile, the menu is a veritable parade of char cuisine, including char kaiseki course meals garnished with the area's abundant vegetables, as well as a la carte char sashimi, char shioyaki (grilled with salt), char karaage (deep fried), dear meat sashimi, and char donburi rice bowls. Customers can also enjoy fishing in a river into which the hatchery's char have been released and eat the char that they catch in the restaurant.

    落ち着いた雰囲気でした。二階の部屋でテーブルと椅子でした。瀬田川を眺められました。懐石料理でした。刺身や天ぷらは平均的です。鮎の塩焼きは美味しかったです。幾らのコースだったのか、値段は聞いてません。

    ある団体の旅行でランチで入りました。４０名ほどで貸し切りになりました。既に鱒の刺し身、焼き、甘露煮、フライと並んでいて、鱒づくしです。ビールで乾杯して、料理を頂きました。大勢でやむを得ないでしょうが、料理が冷めていたのが残念です。
