It is famous for its unusual Japanese-style trick art, which can be seen in such areas as the Edo Area and the Haunted Mansion with Funny Japanese Monsters. Instead of just merely watching, guests can also take pictures as if they were characters appearing in the strange pictures. This is a popular spot for families and groups of friends.

    When we arrived we were given a presentation and explanation of how we would do to experience 3d effect. We had a nice hour with lots of laughs. And lots of fun pictures to show when we got home...

The park is a disaster prevention center which functions as an on-site countermeasures headquarters in the event of a large-scale disaster. Facilities include the headquarters building, where visitors can learn about and experience simulations of earthquakes and tsunami; the entrance square, which can become a medical support site; and a heliport. The grounds have been planted with a variety of plant life, and almost throughout the entire year visitors can enjoy the sight of colorful flowering plants, including Kawazu and Oshima cherry trees in the spring, and sunflowers in the summer.

The park is also lit up from dusk and has a reputation for its romantic atmosphere. The West Promenade overlooks the Statue of Liberty, while the Center Promenade offers a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji on a clear day, and many outdoor and sporting events are held on weekends.
