- One of the largest flower parks in Japan, located in Nanbu Town, Saihaku County, Tottori Prefecture. The park’s spacious grounds, commanding a view of Mt. Daisen, are host to the Flower Dome, a 50 meter in diameter, 21 meter tall giant greenhouse; a European garden; a gigantic 10 thousand square meter garden; and aquatic flower beds; and visitors can enjoy flowers year round. There’s also a one kilometer long viewing gallery circuit with a roof, ensuring that visitors can enjoy the park’s flowers in comfort even on rainy days. - The Shoji Ueda Museum of Photography showcases the works of world-famous photographer Shoji Ueda, who was born in Tottori Prefecture. Ueda’s photographs of subjects set against the backdrop of the San’in region’s big skies and imposing sand-dunes won renown as the “Ueda-cho” (“Ueda style”). There is plenty to see at the Museum, including the pond, which reflects an inverted image of Mt. Daisen, and the Museum Cinema, which is decorated with the world’s largest camera lens. The Museum Shop sells an extensive range of souvenir gifts.

- A shrine standing along the Mizuki Shigeru Road, a popular tourism destination in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to a 300 year old Japanese zelkova tree and a three meter tall block of granite yokai (Japanese folk monster) which was put into his heart and soul by manga artist Shigeru Mizuki. The grounds are filled with statues of yokai characters from Mizuki’s hit comic, “GeGeGe no Kitaro,” such as an Ittan Momen-themed torii gate and Medama Oyaji purifying fountain. The automated fortune dispenser, in which small yokai figures deliver a mikuji fortune slip, is a popular feature of the shrine. The shrine also sells popular souvenirs such as yokai ema votive tablets, protective charms, and protective seals.

- A miniature “yokai” (Japanese folk monster) theme park located behind the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Museum, a popular tourism destination in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture. Here you can meet Kitaro, Nurikabe, Medama Oyaji, and other yokai characters which appear in Shigeru Mizuki’s hit manga comic, “GeGeGe no Kitaro,” in statue and cutout form. Park facilities include the children-oriented “Kitaro’s House;” various commemorative photo spots; and Yokai Nakamise, a shop selling yokai goods and merchandise. - This is an art museum on Prefectural Route 319 in Yuyama, Fukubecho, Tottori City where sand sculptures, sculptures carved from sand, are exhibited. Sculptures are produced and exhibited on differing themes each year under the concept of travel around the world in sand, such as “Renaissance in Italy” and “World Heritages in Asia”. The displays can only be appreciated during the exhibition as when the exhibition has finished the sculptures turn back into sand.

One of Japan's leading bamboo plantations, it's a great spot for wandering among the groves with the pale green light filtering through. The park also has barbecue facilities, a campground, bungalows, and other amenities where you can enjoy the great outdoors with friends and family.

- Fish Specimens and old Japanese Life Museum which opened in April 1994 and which has the finest collection of marine life specimens in Japan, is located in a renovated sake brewery; the building has been included in the list of the “Top 100 Most Beloved Buildings in Tottori Prefecture.” There are approximately 4,000 specimens of aquatic creatures belonging to around 700 different species in the museum’s collections; other items on display including the Minato-maru fishing boat and a collection of old everyday tools, three of which have been designated as Municipal Cultural Properties by Sakaiminato City Government.

- Yonago Waterbirds Sanctuary is located around 15 minutes' drive from JR Yonago Station; the sanctuary itself is around two minutes' walk from the parking area. The sanctuary, which is an important habitat for wild birds, occupies a part of Nakaumi Lagoon where the Ramsar Convention is registered. Every year, Yonago Waterbirds Sanctuary is visited by around 1,000 Tundra Swans (Bewick's Swans), more than anywhere else in Western Japan, as well as by an average of more than 75,000 geese and ducks. The sanctuary is also a vital habitat for many endangered plant and animal species, including Potamogeton pectinatus, a submerged aquatic plant, and the Appasus, an aquatic insect. At the Sanctuary's Nature Center, visitors can listen to explanatory talks by park rangers and volunteers, and can use the telescopes and binoculars installed in the Nature Center to view the birds. Various special events are held at the Sanctuary, including Nature Watching Fairs, etc.

- A park with burial mounds modeled after life in the Yayoi period. Site of the Mukoyama Burial Mounds that were built from the late fifth to the late sixth centuries, a total of 17 mounds are distributed across the precincts. 104 haniwa earthen objects are set up around the scallop-style tumulus area that recreates a mid-Kofun period burial mound. The site is dotted with features that will help you imagine life in ancient times, like a 15-meter-high stilt-raised structure that has been restored to its original state. The Kodai Taiken no Yakata holds workshops in making earthenware, haniwa objects, and ceramic flutes, as well as building fires. Reservations are required. Its many other highlights include an adventure plaza with a wooden athletic tower and the Kodai Lotus Park where you can find the Oga lotus, a variety said to be 2,000 years old.

The Tottori City History Museum (Yamabikokan), which is located in a corner of the Ouchidani District, provides an introduction to the history and culture of the Tottori region. Besides the permanent exhibitions, the Museum also holds thematic exhibitions and special exhibitions relating to Tottori. In early summer, the Museum is open in the evenings on certain days so that visitors can view fireflies in the Museum grounds.

公営の博物館なので入館料も安いです。高校生以下や70歳以上などは無料なので子供と一緒だとちょっとお得です。また企画展示も行われていることがあり、その際もセット(企画展と常設展示)でも料金は安いです。興味のある企画展示の時を狙っていくのもいいです。
