The museum was built in 1983 with the aim of promoting cultural exchange and friendship between China and Japan. Museum displays are changed every two to three years, with important articles from the collections of museums throughout China on permanent display. The adjoining Confucian Shrine was built in 1893 through cooperation between the Chinese Qing government and people of Chinese heritage residing in Japan and is an extremely rare example of authentic Chinese mausoleum architecture in the country. A three-minute walk from the O-Uratenshudoshita stop on the tramway.

Entrance to this Confucius Shrine will set you back 660 yen per person. There is lots of construction around the perimeter of the shrine.

This is a huge park facing Nagasaki harbor. Inside are plenty of trees and an “aqua theater” using a stream of water originating from a mountain stream, making it a great place for children to play with the water. In addition, one can certainly spend a relaxing time here too with the park’s canals, the many bridges of “Oranda-zaka-bridge,” and the “Waterside Promenade” walking path.

This is a large shopping mall in Mori Town, Nagasaki City. In addition to shops and restaurants, there is a sports gym on the fourth floor and TOHO cinema with nine screens on the sixth floor. The highest point of the Ferris wheel, which is a symbol of the mall, is about 70 meters above the ground and the time it takes to go around is 10 minutes and 51 seconds. A nursing room, and baby strollers are available. It is a three-minute walk from Urakami Station. The mall has a bus terminal adjacent meaning bus access is easy.

This zoo and botanical garden, situated on a rise commanding a view of Saikai National Park Kujukushima below, focuses on relaxation and the nature of the Kujuku Islands. The zoo presents around 60 species of animals such as lions and Amur leopard cats; there's also a penguin exhibit which boasts one of the largest overhead aquariums in Japan. The zoo also offers a full array of programs, including guided tours and animal feeding sessions, as well as rides on Taishu horses, a rare breed of horse of which only around 50 live in all of Japan. The atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki City on August 9, 1945. The Peace Park is located on a small hill in the north of the area on which the bomb was dropped and was created with the vow to prevent the recurrence of war and the hope of world peace. The bronze Peace Statue, 9.7 meters tall and weighing 30 tons, stands in the park. The statue’s right hand point towards the heavens represents the threat of atomic bombing; the left hand held out level represents peace; the closed eyes represent a prayer for the happiness in the next world of the victims of the bombing. The Peace Fountain is located in front of the statue and is inscribed with a quote by a young girl who wondered the town in search of water after the bombing – “I was so thirsty I could not stand it / Something like oil covered the entire surface of the water / But I wanted to drink so bad / Finally, I drank it, oil and all.”
