This is a zoo and amusement park in Suka, Miyashiro Town, Minami-Saitama County. There are 120 species and 1,200 animals kept at the zoo including white tigers and brown bears, and there are roller coasters and rides suitable for children in the amusement park. Hitsujiyama Park is a green land park spread on a hilltop with a panoramic view of Chichibu City, and is known as a flower viewing place for the beautiful cherry blossoms, iris and moss phlox. In the park, moss phlox with more than some 400,000 plants from nine varieties are cultivated over about 17,600 square meters, and red, pink and white moss phlox flowers cover the whole area in spring like a patchwork of flowers. There are a range of facilities such as Fureai bokujo (ranch) where you can pat sheep, a museum for Mt. Buko which is a symbol of Chichibu and an athletics area. The facility is housed in three National Tangible Cultural Property-designated storehouses built in the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods which once belonged to the Kagamiyama Shuzo sake brewery. Facilities include the Omiyagedokoro Meijigura storehouse, which hosts a cafe and shops selling local sakes and sweets; the Makanaidokoro Taishogura, which hosts a restaurant serving choice sake and meals designed around the concept of local production for local consumption; and the Kikizakedokoro Showagura storehouse, where visitors can purchase sake from 35 breweries located in the prefecture; plus the Tsudoidokoro building, which has a conference room and gallery.
