This ninja museum in Iga Ueno Castle's Ueno Park boasts the best ninja collection in the world. Composed of the Ninja House, Ninja Experience Hall, and Ninja Tradition Hall, they showcase real ninjas with a concept of bringing ninjutsu into the present. The Ninja House itself was built by a local Iga clan, and under the guidance of a kunoichi (female ninja), you can check out its contrivances like trap doors, escape routes, and revolving walls. The Azura ninja group's breathtaking shows and the shuriken throwing program are also popular. So is the shop selling ninja related items.

Nice explanation of ninja culture. The tour of the typical ninja dwelling was very well done. The museum on the lower level was very informative along with the ninja residence building. I did not...

"This castle site park sprawls in front of Uenoshi Station on the Iga Line. Iga Ueno Castle, the park's symbol, is notable for its high stone walls built by Warring States period commander Todo Takatora. Due to the beauty of the white, three-tiered fortress, it is also known as Hakuho (""White Chinese Phoenix"") Castle. The park also has a variety of facilities brimming with history, including the Ninja Museum of Igaryu, which is filled with tricks such as secret doors and revolving walls; the Haiseiden, a building whose design was inspired by the traditional travel garments worn by famed haiku poet Matsuo Basho; and the Basho Memorial Museum. The Ninja Museum of Igaryu notably holds demonstrations of Iga-ryu ninja techniques and is a fun destination for everyone from history fans to small children. The park has also been planted with seasonal flowers and is a renowned destination for cherry blossom viewing in particular. In April when the cherries are in bloom, many people come to the park to take in their beauty."

This aquarium was designed around the concepts of creating a sense of zero distance between visitors and animals, and making contact through handshakes. The aquarium holds a diverse array of events which allow visitors to play with seals lions, spotted seals, and other marine animals. During walrus walk time, visitors can also take a commemorative photo up close with a walrus. The aquarium is divided into different themed areas, including a fish hall, marine mammal square, and sea lion hall. In July 2020, a new dedicated seahorse exhibit and cafe-themed UOASIS exhibited were added.

This aquarium is not so big,but really nice aquarium! Many kinds of fish, we can see them close at hand. Of course you are not able to touch them. But you are like in the fish world.

It's about a three-minute walk from there. Their second-floor Sea View Restaurant offers a menu with local ingredients including dishes like their Red and White rice bowl with Kumano sea bream and tuna. The park is comprised of two main areas. The first is the environment and welfare plaza. Here you’ll find a park golf course, play equipment, and a tree peony garden. A tree peony festival is held here around mid-April. The other area is the Ume Park. This area hosts one of the largest ume (Japanese apricot) gardens in the Tokai area, as well as a blueberry garden. An ume festival is held here around mid-February. Special events are also held at the park during which it bustles with visitors. It depends on the ripeness of the ume, but in general around early June you can also try picking ume in the park.

This museum opened in 2014. To reach it, take a bus for five minutes from the west entrance of Kintetsu, JR, and Ise Railway's Tsu Station and get off at the Sogo Bunka Center Mae stop. It's right there. The museum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the prefecture. Its main exhibition room depicts Mie's characteristic natural environment around the perimeter of the room, and in the middle presents a comprehensive overview of its people, physical items, and history of cultural exchange. You can also see a fully reconstructed ancient elephant known as the Mie Elephant, consisting of the oldest fossils to be discovered in Mie prefecture. In the back yard there's a reproduction of the Torii Kofun burial mound's stone hut.

This sculpture museum is located a five-minute walk from Kintetsu Sakakibara-Onsenguchi Station. It was opened by Takegawa Yujiro in December 1987. The 1,300 sculptures on display are from ancient to modern times, and all of them were brought to Japan from the Louvre Museum in Paris. You can enjoy sculptures from the Louvre while still in Japan. The exhibited works are molded directly from the actual sculptures, so everything from their size to every scar is exactly the same. You can fully appreciate the many famous pieces that line the museum and appear in textbooks.

The Louvre has to be the best museum in the world or at least ranks up there in the top five or so. It is very large and it is easy to get lost as you go from gallery to gallery. The Louvre has...

The museum displays pieces by artists like Koichi Uchida and Teruko Tsuji, as well as the Heart Sutra sculpture series by Masuo Ikeda, an artist also known as a printmaker and writer of the Akutagawa Prize-winning novel Offering in the Aegean. The museum has a small gallery which can be borrowed by regular people for holding exhibitions and the museum also holds concerts making use of a portion of its exhibition space. In the adjoining Paramita Garden, visitors can view stone sculptures and wild plants which grow at the foot of the Suzuka Mountains.

Tsukairaku Park is just a three-minute walk from Tsu Station on the Kinki Nippon Railway. The second home that Todo Takayukiko, the 11th daimyo of Tsu Clan, built during the late 1850s has been turned into a park that makes use of the effects of the surrounding hills and valleys. The park is a favorite spot for viewing the blossoms of the 1000 or so Yoshino cherry trees that have been planted there, and during the blossom season, from late March to early April, the grounds are lit up with 250 or more standing and hanging paper lanterns, attracting large numbers of visitors. They can also see the purple Korean rhododendrons planted near Mt. Suzuka Ino and Mt. Shibumi.
