There are a main building with its glass dome, a freshwater fish exhibit and an external area, and many attractions such as the large donut-shaped tank where Bluefin tuna swim around and Japan’s largest penguin exhibit. The facility also displays countless varieties of unusual sea creatures such as fish from the coastal waters near Australia and the polar regions.

A zoo located in 3 Chome Kitakasai, Edogawa City. The zoo cares for and displays red pandas, Humboldt penguins, common squirrel monkeys, radiated tortoises, and other animals. There's also a petting zoo where you can play with rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, and sheep; and an aquarium which takes inspiration from Edo City's location surrounded by rivers and the sea, displaying freshwater fish and fish which live in brackish waters where fresh and ocean waters meet.

Chanced upon this mini zoo last year and I have to return here again cause I did not have enough time before it closes (at 4pm!) then. A mini zoo that offers quite a fair bit of animals to see - plus...

Located in the Niihori district of Tokyo’s Edogawa City this is an art museum dedicated to bonsai founded by bonsai artist Kunio Kobayashi which has won various awards such as the Prime Minister’s Award. As a facility to spread the appeal of bonsai with the world, it has bonsai pines standing in a row in the Japanese garden that is complete with a pond. The beautiful bonsai adorning the tokonoma and reception rooms in the Japanese-style house are a must-see. The museum also holds a bonsai experience classroom available for a fee, and this is also one sightseeing spot that is often frequented by non-Japanese.

I was told by Mr. Kobayashi that my life will never amount to anything because I am a girl and an only child. I tried to go here for an apprenticeship program. I left after 4 days due to feeling...

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
