    A cafe operating out of a remodeled old Japanese warehouse standing on the North Canal in Otaru. The brick warehouse was built in the Meiji period. Inside the cafe's relaxing atmosphere, you can sit at a table or the seven meter long continuous counter. There's a hall area in the back which is frequently used for wedding after parties and music events. The Goldstone's most popular menu item is its seafood paella. The cafe also has a full menu of seasonal parfaits and other sweets. At night, Goldstone turns into a bar serving cocktails and whisky.

    This cafe corner is in the Kitaichi Glass No. 3 building, and the company was founded in 1901 as an oil lamp manufacturing company. Snacks and sweets can be enjoyed in a fantastic atmosphere illuminated by 167 oil lamps. A live piano performance can be listened to from Monday to Friday (except holidays), and you can spend a blissful teatime while listening to the sound of the piano.

    This is a store directly managed by the long-established Hokkaido Sweets Snow Brand Parlor. The store, which faces Otaru's classic walking course, Sakaimachi Street, sells ice cream, soft cream and other sweets. The store's popular soft cream features a smooth texture and rich milky flavor. It is the perfect place to rest your feet while walking around Otaru. There is a cafe area in the store where families can comfortably relax with small children, and customers can sit and chat. Many people stop by the store to buy souvenirs, since the store also sells cheesecake made with plenty of Camembert cheese, fragrant vanilla Baumkuchen and other sweets.

    We bought a lot of things to bring home here. They offer Royce chocolate, calbee chips and many other local snacks. They also have different hand made locally souvenirs.

    PRESS CAFE in Otaru City, Hokkaido lies in the corner of the former Shibusawa warehouse which was built in 1895. It’s an unusual cafe in that it also handles small cars, mainly English cars built in the 1960’s. It also houses a display of historic cars. In addition to dishes such as their original Indian style curry and various kinds of spaghetti, you can enjoy paper drip coffee and homemade cake.

    This is Hokkaido’s famous western confectionery shop “LeTAO” which specializes in cheesecake, and is built across the street from LeTAO’s main store in Otaru City, Hokkaido. Various cheesecakes are for sale such as the “Double fromage” for starters which is the most popular in the store, and the limited stock “Deux fromage roll”. There is also a studio attached, and one of the things you can enjoy is being able to see the process of making confections. There is also a corner area in the store where you can taste freshly made desserts.

    Dani LeTao specialises in Danish Fromage which is not available anywhere else (even at the airport) so if you are in Otaru try this dessert out. So awesomely terrific, very filling but light and...

    A cafe located in Ironai, Otaru City. Standing along the Otaru Canal, you can watch the sightseeing boats plying the canal from inside the cafe's chic, modern interior. The first floor of the cafe operates as a takeout sweets shop. The second floor is a cafe space where you can enjoy handmade gelato, ice cream, and special desserts topped with fresh fruit from Otaru. The cafe also has a full lunch menu of pastas and salads, as well as several varieties of cakes for dessert.

    運河のそばにあるオシャレカフェ。店内は女性客が多く、とてもモダンで素敵な雰囲気でした。注文したケーキも、まるでフランス料理のスイーツのように見た目も味も良かったです。

    海沿いのカフェはいろいろありますが、こちらはカジュアルなお店です。水出しコーヒーもなかなか美味しい。若者のデートや女子会が多いですね。かもめがひらりひらりと飛んでいるのを眺めたり、素敵な時間が過ごせます。お隣のカレーハウスも外でいただくことができて、どちらも海が目の前。気持ちの良い空間です。

    Hello Kitty Cafe located in Otaru as well. As a Hello Kitty fan, I must go to this place. The upper level are cafes and the ground level is so souvenirs shops.
