    Monpemaruke, located on the west side of Saku Island, which floats to the west of Mikawa Bay, is a local cafe that’s inside a renovated deserted house. The employees have a suave air about them, and the tatami mats and low dining tables evoke a Showa vibe. The handmade dishes use organic vegetables. The main attraction, “Oyasai oyatsu (OyaOya),” is a Japanese sweet made with vegetables from the island. The contents change daily, so you can enjoy a different taste every time you go.

The “Regnie no Shin Kyabetsu,” a cream puff full of cream and with a flaky crust, is so popular that it sells out every day.

    This stylish cafe and bread shop is a about a three-minute walk from Exit 2 of Takaoka Station and is surrounded in green. The various breads on display are adorable and photogenic, and all are made with domestic, organic ingredients to bring out the real flavor of the wheat. Fruit, cheese, cream, and other unique variations are all available. The second floor cafe offers pancakes and such; morning sets are available until noon.

    Coffee Kajita, located about three minutes’ walk from Issha Station on the Higashiyama Subway Line, is a café with simple white walls, and opens only three days a week. This tiny shop has counter seating only. It is popular as delicious coffee and homemade cakes can be enjoyed and coffee lovers repeatedly come back. The blended coffee, which is thoroughly brewed using only carefully selected high quality coffee beans, is recommended. You can select coffee classified by the level of roasting according to your liking. Sawayaka for which the coffee is lightly roasted is popular. It is less bitter and astringent so is easy to drink.

    カウンター席のみ。ケーキが売り切れでした。 「ベンチにかけてお待ち下さい」と言われたのですが、ベンチに座っている人達は詰めてもくれない。 カウンター席の器を片付けていないからなのか？座らせない~。しばらく立っていました。カウンター席も狭いゆえ、コーヒーはいただかず、ドリップコーヒーを買って帰りました。 中にはポストカードが入っていましたが、あらためて行こうとは思いません。

    エビフライサンドをテイクアウトで買いました。出張帰りに新幹線で食べようと立ち寄りました。地下鉄栄駅の改札近くで直ぐ分かる所にあります。新幹線の狭い席では食べ難いですが美味しかったです。サンドイッチは余り押さえ付けて無いので直ぐバラバラになります。食べる前に少し押さえて食べるのが良いです。

    地下鉄栄駅構内に直結の地下街にあり、便利。モーニングにエビカツサンドと小倉トーストを食べましたが、特にエビカツサンドがプリッと美味しく食べた価値ありでした。

    お昼の定食の中から鮎のフライの定食を選びました。大きな鮎で食べ応えがありました。 食後のたんぽぽコーヒーは自然の甘みと素朴な味わいで、珍しくて良かったです。確か山査子、大豆、小豆も入っているそうで、コレステロールにも良いとか。 せっかくお料理は良かったのに、お店の中や周辺は片付いておらず不快でした。 部屋の隅や壁のいろいろを減らし、庭の雑草や鉢の整理をすれば、すっきり清潔感が出ると思います。

    半田市寺町の少し奥まったところにあるベーカリー工場横のカフェです。古い蔵を活かした作りの雰囲気は、いい感じでしたが、結果ガッカリでした。 店の中のテーブルが近いのか、蔵だから反響するのか、客層が悪いのか？もう煩くてコーヒーを味わう気分にはなれませんでした。加えて、接客も悪いし。パンやスイーツも品切れ？まあ、結構流行っているのでこんなもんですかね。

    よくしゃべる店員さんです。瀬戸のことをいろいろ説明してくれます。 ランチは平日と土日で違います。 ごも（五目御飯）はおいしかった。ただ水が美味しくなかったので飲み物は期待できないと思い注文しませんでした。
