"A hideaway style cafe housed in an old private Japanese home. The 50-year-old wooden home was remodeled by hand and turned into a cafe. Designed around the theme of ""African relaxation,"" the interior is painted a vivid orange yet still engenders a relaxing, laid back atmosphere. The cafe's drink menu primarily consists of coffees imported directly from Africa. There are also African wines, beers, and ciders. The cafe's reservation only course meals give diners a chance to sample culinary delights from Senegal, Ghana, Zambia, and other African nations."

Cafe Kollere may require a reservation for lunch and dinner, but it’s well worth the effort. It offers an experience that’s difficult to find in Japan, and does so while unabashedly acknowledging the...

A tea lounge located inside the ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe hotel. The lounge's black and white decor engenders a high-class atmosphere. The lounge's cakes, handmade by skilled chefs, are not only delicious but also visually stunning and make for excellent snapshots. Most of the lounge's cake menu is changed monthly, a new array of seasonal cakes replacing the old. The lounge's cakes and chocolates are also available for takeout. The lounge also holds a monthly themed dessert buffet event.

Whats interesting about most Japanese restaurants is that neither their staff nor their menu speak English. I went to this place and somehow managed to order a dish. I think I used one of the images...

"A cafe, identifiable by its stylish building, situated along Motomachi-dori Street not far from Motomachi Station on JR and Hanshin Electric Railway lines. The name ""Mamecha"" is comprised of the characters for ""legumes"" and ""tea,"" and as its name implies, the cafe serves a wide selection of items made with legumes, a food that is healthy and exceptionally nutritionally balanced. The diverse menu includes everything from a gratin consisting of various toppings over mamegohan (beans and rice) only available in limited portions each day, to a green tea and black soybean parfait. Focusing on making use of seasonal ingredients, a large portion of the items on the menu are only available for a limited time and, as such, customers will find new flavors to discover each and every time they come here. A cute dog serves as the restaurant's mascot and is kept inside."

A cafe located close to Minato Park an eight-minute walk from JR Motomachi Station. As suggested by its name, one of the most distinct things about the cafe is its decor, which consists of various fish decorations scattered amongst a green, botanical garden-like space. Here customers can enjoy pastas, pizzas, and cakes made with seasonal ingredients, as well as smoothies only offered at this location. The cafe has three reservation only party plans which include differing numbers of dishes and which all include a 120 minute all-you-can-drink period with a selection of some 100 drinks. The cafe can also be rented out for large groups. In the summer, the cafe opens up a beer garden as well.

Went in for dinner. Once we stepped in, we felt there were fish swimming in the forest. A real stylish and comfortable space. Ordered a pizza set and a curry set.
