    The Biwako Terrace is an observation terrace located within the Biwako Valley nature resort, around five minutes' drive from the Shiga Interchange of the Nishi Otsu Bypass (Kosei Road), from which visitors can enjoy superb views of Lake Biwa. The terrace is situated around 10 minutes' walk from the ropeway summit station, on the summit of the 1,174 meter-high Mt. Horai. The terrace features an open, spacious design that makes use of large arches; visitors can enjoy a spectacular panorama, with views of Lake Biwa, the Ibuki Mountains, and even as far as Hira Mountains. Beverages and snacks are available from Cafe 360. Premium seats are available (for an additional charge). The terrace is open between April and October each year.

    This is a cafe focusing mainly on sweets on the second floor of the Umeda Rakutenchi Building. The poppy, cute shop interior hosts an all-you-can-eat menu of about 30 different sweets (including some seasonal varieties). The shop's most popular item, Fluffy Shortcake, uses 17.7% fat cream from Hokkaido in their whipped cream in an exquisite pairing with strawberries. Apart from cakes, they also serve pasta, salads, snacks and drinks for a fully stocked menu. Take as much as you like of whatever you like!

    This is a drive-in-café located on the seaward side of highway 134, in the middle of the Shichirigahama beachfront parking lot. From the terrace seats and inside, one can see Enoshima and Mt. Fuji. Opening at 8am on weekends and holidays, one can enjoy a relaxed breakfast like a true Hawaiian local.     A venerable coffee shop located in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture that was established in 1940. Outside, the shop looks like a Kyoto merchant’s house; inside, the Western-style, retro atmosphere resembles the lounge of a high-class hotel and looks like a scene out of a movie. The fragrant, nel drip brewed coffee is a point of pride for the café. On request, the shop’s popular Arabian Pearl blend can be served with the perfect amount of sugar and milk. From the terrace seats using the natural terrain, one can enjoy a meal while looking out over the scenery of the four seasons. The drink menu includes coffee as well as Kamakura beer. Used as the location for the television drama “My Second Last Love,” the interior is both retro and nostalgic. The pancakes on the signboard menu are voluminous with a fluffy texture and are not too sweet. During holidays, there is always a steady queue of regulars and drama fans.
