    This strawberry farm is in Negoya, Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City along the KunoHighway. Visitors can enjoy 30 minutes of all you can eat Akihime variety strawberry picking from January through the beginning of May. The shop on the premises sells freshly squeezed strawberry juice and soft ice cream, and other Shizuoka souvenirs, packaged strawberries and homemade jams.

    This tourist farm is located in Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City. Visitors can harvest sun-ripened Ishigaki strawberries, which are named after the masonry walls they are grown on. The Akihime variety grown here is known for their high sweetness and low sourness. The farm is open from December to the end of May and requires reservations during peak periods.

    This is natural history museum in Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City is the first of its kind in Shizuoka Prefecture with exhibits that explore the theme of global environmental history. Their permanent exhibits cover the nature of Shizuoka and Suruga Bay as well as a variety of living creatures. There is also a photo-shop on site and various events such as lectures and special exhibitions are also held.

    This park is located at the terminus of Aoba Symbol Road, in the center of the city area of Shizuoka City. The park is divided into four zones: water, light, green, and music. Each of them has a carillon tower, a music fountain, a square, a playground, and more. Fountain shows are held every hour, in which water shoots out of the fountains together with the melody of the carillon played as a chime show. At night, the fountain is illuminated, so you can enjoy a fantastical scene where the fountain changes over time with the lighting.

  • Tsuta-no-Hosomichi

    "This is an old road of the Utsunoya Pass located at the border between Shizuoka City and Fujieda City. Its origin goes back to the Nara period, with its name recorded in ""The Tales of Ise"", a collection of poems and narratives written in the 10th century. Thereafter, when Toyotomi Hideyoshi beseiged Odawara, a new road was prepared on the north side, so traffic here stopped for a while. Currently, the natural cobblestone road remains and it is used as a hiking course. The elevation of Utsunoya Pass is 210 meters. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji."

    Maruko Castle was built in the Oei Era (1394-1428) to defend the western entrance to Suruga Fuchu, and after the Takeda clan invaded Suruga, it was used as a base of operations in the western part of Suruga. The trail continues past the ruins of Maruko Castle to the temple of Seigan-ji, where visitors can enjoy an approximately one-hour hike.

    "This strawberry farm is located on ""Kuno Ichigo Kaigan Avenue"", famous for its strawberries on a stone fence. You can eat the two varieties, beni hoppe and akihime, for the same price. The Shizuoka-born ""beni hoppe"" has characteristically strong sweetness and acridness. It maintains a balance of softness in the mouth characteristic of seed parent ""akihime"" and the sturdy fruit pulp of fruit flour parent ""sachinoka"". The peak season for strawberry picking is from January to February. They are seeking to be a tourism farm with experiences available, they offer strawberry-planting from mid-September to early October, and jam-making from late March."

    This Tamiya Circuit is known for RC cars (remote-controlled cars) and mini 4WD. Featuring both an on-road and an off-road course, it is the holy land for RC car fans. Both courses nicely feature control decks with a clear view, so you operate the machines better. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the manager is available all day long, and will handle your questions regarding how to use the facilities and claims of interference. There is a parts shop on the second floor of the circuit house, and many people buy an RC kit or OP/SP parts before racing.

    Located close to the University of Shizuoka, this park is distinguished by its gourd-shaped handrails. Inside the park, there is general playground equipment such as swings and slides, as well as training and health equipment too. Since the park has a keyhole-shaped kofun (estimated to be from the early sixth century) of the wealthy family that ruled the Shimizu Plains during the late Kofun period, you'll see many students there doing research. There are many benches and multipurpose bathrooms, and local residents enjoy this park as a place of rest.

    "A facility that was born as Japan's first sushi theme park. It is divided into two zones: a no-charge zone, ""Shimizu Sushi Yokocho"", and a charge zone. You can deepen your knowledge of the history and culture of sushi. The ""Sushi Gakudo"" in the charge zone has a nostalgic atmosphere, recreating a kabuki stage, which has deep connections to sushi, and Shimizu Port during the Meiji period. Sushi from each area of Japan and tools for making sushi are on display."

    "Honjin Park located in the center of Yui. Many buildings maintaining an image of the Edo period are spotted along the road of Yui-shuku, the 16th post town counting from Nihonbashi. It is said that, at the time, there was the honjin where daimyo lodged, a waki-honjin building, and 30 hatagoya (inns), indicating that the place was quite lively. The atmosphere of the time remains in the front gate and stone walls, as well as the wooden fence and horse drinking area. Located inside the park, the ""Tokaido Yui-Shuku Koryukan"" hall is used for a wide variety of purposes, including learning about history, distributing tourist information, and connecting with the region."

    Shizuoka Hobby Square literally is a square, Its a small area, but still fascinating in its own way. I wish there was more information on the exhibits though.

    清水森林公園やすらぎの森には無料の黒川キャンプ場があります。但し事前に仮予約の電話を入れた上、パソコンでダインロードした申込書に記入と郵送が必要です。多少手間はかかりますが、自然がいっぱいで川遊び、沢蟹もいる魅力は捨てがたいです。敷地内に日帰り温泉もあり施設も充実しています。

    我が家にとっては落ち着く場所で、自然以外なにもないです。スマホも使えません（圏外です）。 何をしているかと言うと、ゆっくりBBQしたり、リバウェル井川を散策してこいのぼりを見たり、 山伏（2015M)を登ったり、ロッジの暖炉の前で読書したりして過ごしています。 5月は特に、新緑の季節でさわやかな空気を味わえます。 まだ経験してませんが、紅葉の季節も良いかもしれません。

    夜18時過ぎに訪問しました。 17時からは風呂が500円です。 風呂の種類は少ないですが、のんびりできる雰囲気です。 ちなみにJAFカードを提示すると安くなるようです。

    静岡平和資料センターですが静岡駅からすぐの所にあります。（伝馬町のビルの2階です） 入場は、無料で見学ができます。 静岡空襲や戦争の悲惨さを伝える資料がいっぱい展示されています。是非ゆっくりと見て頂きたいそんな場所です。
