    Japan’s largest safari park, located in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Some 30 species of animals, including a variety of large herbivores, bears, and lions live lives of ease in the park’s Safari Zone, which visitors can drive through in their own car or take a park bus tour through to view them up close in an environment close to their natural habitat. In the Fureai Zone, visitors can play with and feed kangaroos, capybaras, and other small animals. There’s also a popular Walking Safari course which lets you walk the outer perimeter of the safari zone on foot (closed in winter). The park offers a Night Safari course only on Saturday, Sunday, and holiday nights in spring and summer.

    A family-oriented theme park located at the second station at the foot of the southern side of Mt. Fuji in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. In addition to standards such as a Ferris wheel and merry-go-round, the park is home to one of the largest funhouse mazes in Japan as well as playgrounds with 16 varieties of play equipment and an indoor facility where children can play with over 1,000 different Tomica toy cars and Plarail toy trains. The park’s Sylvanian Families and Ultraman areas are popular with children and adults of all ages.

    To reach the Gotemba Trail New 5th Station, visitors can either drive there by coming off the Tomei Expressway at the Gotemba Interchange and then taking the Fujisan Skyline highway to the Gotemba Trail New 5th Station Parking Area, or take the Tozan Bus from Gotemba Station on the JR Gotemba Line and get off at the Gotemba Trail New 5th Station bus stop. There are no restrictions on parking private cars at Gotemba Trail New 5th Station, so visitors can drive to Gotemba Trail New 5th Station at any time during the official climbing season to begin their climb of Mt. Fuji. Please note that the trail from Gotemba Trail New 5th Station to the summit of Mt. Fuji is a long one, with a significant elevation gain, so this route is recommended only for people who are physically fit. Near the trail entrance there are public toilets, which are open 24 hours a day, and also a tourist information center and shop. Gotemba Trail New 5th Station is open between early July and early September each year.

    This natural park, famous as a spot for taking pictures of Mt. Fuji, is located on the mountain's side at an altitude of around 1,500 meters.     This managed fishing pond is located a two-minute drive from Tomei Expressway Gotemba Interchange. It is open all year long except during the summer from July to September. Visitors can catch about 10 species of fish including white-spotted char and rainbow trout. Being one of the country's largest fishing areas, anglers come from great distances to fish here.

    A museum in Yamamiya, Fujinomiya City. It was opened as Japan's first museum for stones in 1971. The variety of rare stones are displayed here not according to a mineralogical viewpoint, but using a viewpoint that compares them to animals or plants, based on Unkonshi-Japan's first expert stone manual, written by Sekitei Kiuchi, a naturalist of the Edo period. There are also exhibits of gemstones, luminous stones, dinosaur fossils and other fossils, and of materials related to Kenji Miyazawa (famous poet and author) as a geologist.

    I was with my 11 and 14 years old son. They were enjoying this place very much. A lot to see in the museum itself with displaying lots of different stones and rocks where they cane from all around...
