Based around the concept of ""Let's create excitement,"" S-Pulse Dream Plaza was created as part of a waterfront area redevelopment project, through collaboration between local business enterprises and the local government. Each of the four floors has its own particular theme, and on weekends the Plaza attracts large numbers of visitors, both locals and tourists from further afield. There is a movie theatre, fashion boutiques, sporting goods stores, the Shimizu Sushi Museum, and Chibi Maruko Land, an interactive, participative museum featuring Chibi Maruko-chan, a manga comic and TV cartoon character who is very popular in Japan, as well as a restaurant featuring school lunch from the era in which Chibi Maruko-chan is set (the 1970s)."

Nothing too exciting about this mall, besides the movie complex on the top and the ferry wheel, right outside. But the location is nice, by the water, near shimizu port.
