This is the municipal public park maintained on the site of the former imperial gardens (Suma Rikyu Park) in Suma Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, and there is the main park and a botanical garden located on a hillside which commands a view over Osaka Bay. In the main garden, there is a European style plaza with a water fountain which is reminiscent of the former imperial residence and a “Rose Garden of Princes and Lords”, you can enjoy a refined tea time in the rest house which has been fashioned in a palatial image. The flowers of the four seasons such as the irises, camellias, tree peony and plums are beautiful, and the autumn colors of “Midori Taki (green waterfall)” is also a must see. There are field athletics and a children’s playground in the park, and even bringing the children with you, one can enjoy spending all day there.

The park has a distinguished history, as the word “rikyu” suggests. The word means a palace for pleasure, and it used to be owned by Imperial Household. Since the ancient times, Suma was well known...

Komayama Park crosses Hiratsuka City and Oiso Town in Naka County. It is divided into multiple areas; there is a TV tower and a rest house viewing platform in the Shonandaira Zone. The Children's Forest Zone is a good place for a barbecue, and the Asama Volcano Zone lets you get in touch with nature. It's a great spot for viewing the cherry blossoms in spring and the nightscape when the sun goes down.

This is a huge park facing Nagasaki harbor. Inside are plenty of trees and an “aqua theater” using a stream of water originating from a mountain stream, making it a great place for children to play with the water. In addition, one can certainly spend a relaxing time here too with the park’s canals, the many bridges of “Oranda-zaka-bridge,” and the “Waterside Promenade” walking path.

The park's vast, lush grounds encompass sports facilities such as Kobe Universiade Memorial Stadium, which served as a National Athletic Meet venue; and the domed Green Arena Kobe gymnasium. You can reach this park in approximately 35 minutes by taking a bus bound for Kannonzaki from Yokosuka Station on the JR Yokosuka Line. It covers almost all the Kannonzaki Cape that protrudes into Tokyo Bay. Once you arrive, stop by the Park Center to get information on events and attractions. There are facilities for learning while getting close to nature, such as the third Kannonzaki Lighthouse and the greenery enshrouded Yokosuka Art Museum. A wooded playscape, flower garden, and large open area make it fun for everyone from kids to adults. There is also a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the view of Tokyo Bay.

Went for a beautiful walk through here. There are many paths to choose from. Some are sling the water, and some lead up into the woods. Great trail up to the lighthouse.

It features a footbath, a lake geyser center, a pleasure boat boarding point, an outdoor stage, and more for year-round enjoyment. A fireworks display is held over Lake Suwa every year on August 15, and the first Saturday in September is a national competition for showing off new fireworks. This is a very popular leisure spot full of abundant natural scenery even among Amami Oshima Island. The park includes the Amami Kaiyo Museum (Maritime Museum), which introduces the types of animals inhabiting the waters adjacent to Amami Oshima Island, and Ohama Beach, which allows visitors to enjoy the cobalt blue ocean, white sandy beach, and coral reefs. In the center of the park is Kaigara Stage Hiroba, an amphitheater with a large seashell shape that serves as a venue for outdoor events, and in the bathhouse there are showers, toilets and coin lockers available. It’s also worth seeing the sun set as it sinks down in the East China Sea.

White sandy beach 1.5 hours drive from the airport. We loved the sunset . It was very quiet and peaceful. Would love to visit in May or June, when we could swim and snorkel.
