This is a restaurant specializing in rice omelet located next to Kinkakuji Temple (The Golden Pavilion). The interior is calm with the atmosphere of an old-fashioned western style restaurant. The store serves a variety of rice omelet dishes in addition to the traditional dish such as curry omelet, seafood omelet, and a green vegetable salad omelet. Another dish on the menu is dark strips of seaweed and rice rolled in an omelet topped with yuba—tofu skin. Customers can order a plate for two people including two types of omelet, salad and drink to try a variety of flavors.

Walked by here several times and now Ive been here twice – really nice omuraisu – one of the best Ive had and now Ive tried a few from the menu and theyre all really yummy.

Marketed as the restaurant with one hundred years of western cuisine in Kyoto, the restaurant has preserved the founding motto of ‘We want many people to enjoy our delicious food at a reasonable price.” Known for their Toyotei special, the hamburger steak with a hot creamy baked potato slathered with butter is one of the most popular dishes, and their chilled ‘whole tomato salad’ is also popular.

This cafe focuses on dishes made with carefully selected natural ingredients. The shop is located in a quiet residential district north on Kitayama-dori street near the Kyoto Botanical Gardens, and strives to make food that results in smiling faces. The chef is particularly proud of the hamburger steak topped with the house-made demiglace sauce. It's made with 100% additive free beef for a thick, tender, hand-made delight. The beef cutlet and beef stew, made with top grade beef from Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, or the Chami pork loin cutlet with select Kagoshima pork, are all very popular.

地下鉄北山から徒歩10分です。火曜日の夜行きましたが、けっこう混んでいました。夜のコースは3種類。味は、ちょっと濃い目で全体的には合格点ですが、物足らないの感もあります。しかし、値段が手ごろなので星4つとしましたが、3.5くらいか。

The building has the aura of a top class restaurant in the French suburbs, and offers truly authentic French cuisine. The chef has worked at Michelin Three-star restaurants and was once employed as the head chef of a French eatery here in Japan. The shop is loved for its care with ingredients, selecting the finest ingredients from Japan and imported from France. They also can book the restaurant out for groups of 30 up, so it's popular for birthday and anniversary parties, or wedding banquets.

評価は肉屋さんとしての評価です。お店全体の評価はせいぜい〇２程度ですが。何度か昼食に行っていますが(ディナーに行くような店ではない)まぁ、こんなもんでしょうね。一人でも入り易いステーキ屋としてはわたし的には良い店なんだが・・・食べられない程度ではないので今後もランチには行こうかな、と思っています。

レストランの雰囲気は古民家風で和風の庭は素敵です。スタッフの方々の対応は素晴らしくて居心地を良くしてくれます。コース料理は一つ一つ趣向が凝らしてあり素敵な器と相まって美しくとてもおいしい。金閣寺近くのレストランを探していてこちらに予約をして夕食を頂きましたが、来ることが出来て良かったと思いました。また来たいと思える素晴らしいレストランです。京都に行くならぜひおすすめです。
