    "This forest park is located close to the ""Hanase Koryu no Morimae"" bus stop. The park's vast 1,000 hectare grounds encompass the Katsura River and Ado River headwater basin and visitors can enjoy seasonal outdoor activities like playing in one of the rivers and building a snowman. The park also has lodging facilities. The park center has tennis and volleyball facilities and is also used for concerts. Barbecuing is permitted in the park on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays and during the summer vacation period. There are many scenic destinations in the area such as the Bujoji Temple and a famous trio of majestic cedar trees known as the Hanase Sanbon Sugi, the tallest trees in Japan, and visitors can enjoy trekking as well.     A museum that introduces you to the ambitions of Nijima Jo, the founder of Doshisha University, and the history of the university. Their permanent exhibit focuses around six themes, the Progress of Doshisha, the Ideology of Nijima Jo, Doshisha of Today, Doshisha's Place in the World, and J. N. Harris and Doshisha. The collection has gathered nearly some 20,000 documents since the museum's founding. This includes a storage room called the Nijima Storage dedicated to nearly 6000 articles related to Nijima Jo and the founding period of the University (the contents of this storage room are kept private). The institution has long been used by Doshisha University as a location for physics and chemistry lessons. The brick built Harris Science Hall, completed in 1890, has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
