- This shaved ice shop is located in the Kise community about a 20-minute drive from Amami Airport. The shop blends into the surrounding residential neighborhood thanks to an exterior designed in the style of an old home. Guests can enjoy shaved served with toppings characteristic of the Amami Islands such as local fruit and brown sugar. The ice is shaved using a manual ice shaver, giving it a fine and fluffy texture. The shop is popular for the addictive flavors of its original syrups, which include passion fruit, brown sugar and milk, and tankan citrus, a specialty of Amami. The shop also serves food such burritos that feature meat and lettuce wrapped in large flour tortillas as well as taco rice.

値段の割に少し小さいのが残念だが、手作りシロップと、黒糖のダブルがけが最高に美味しい。タコスとタコライスも美味しい。夏季限定。

- This coffee shop is located right in front of Chabana Beach. It is a popular store that is loved not only by tourists but also by local residents. You can enjoy the tropical atmosphere to your heart's content in the bright and open restaurant surrounded by an interior using seashells. There are many menu items such as cute sweets with original decorations, colorful drinks and a food menu with large portions. You will never forget them after experiencing them. There are terrace seats where the sea spreads out in front of you and you can enjoy beautiful sunsets, and a bar counter with a tropical feel.

沖永良部島唯一の風車だと思います。 目立つので近くにいってみて、ここがタラソおきのえらぶと知り、 「空とギターとぐっさんと」で、 ぐっさんがライブをした会場だと思い出しました。 プールなどがあり、観光客も利用できるようですが、 ＷＥＬＣＯＭＥな雰囲気は感じ取れませんでした。

お店の雰囲気は木のぬくもりを感じ、おしゃれで居心地のいい空間です。メニューは、パスタ、キッシュ、ジャークチキン、ガーリックシュリンプなどあり。夏場は、ふわふわかき氷もあるそうです。

お昼時間は、かなり混んでいます。お一人様からファミリーまで、幅広い年代に好まれるメニューや、味付けだと思います。ただ、ランチの混み合う時間帯は配膳までかなり待ち時間があるので、お急ぎの方は注文時に尋ねた方がいいです。2人で日曜日の12時に来店して、注文から配膳まで30分かかりました。

Kagoshima Areas
Over 100 active volcanoes across Kagoshima make it one of the Japan's most exciting prefectures. The prefectural capital, Kagoshima city, looks out to one of the prefecture’s most spectacular volcanoes, Sakurajima, an island of its own that can be visited and seen close up or admired from afar, with the promise of breathtaking sunsets complete with frequent puffs of smoke and ash. Down the Satsuma Peninsula, the most southerly part of mainland Japan, waterfalls, sand onsen, and fascinating history await, while Kagoshima's abundance of satsuma imo (sweet potato) provide a wholesome snack as well as one of Japan's favourite drinks - shochu.
