- Shizuoka Izunokuni-shi Nagaoka‧Kona
- A vast hot spring district sprawling at the foot of Mt. Genji on the Izu Peninsula. Developed at the end of the Meiji period, this relatively new hot spring village has over 100 source springs and produces an extremely abundant volume of piping hot water. The area' colorless alkaline simple springs contain an abundance of sodium, calcium, and other minerals; their waters are gentle on the skin and particularly popular with women due to their beautifying properties, as they leave the skin soft and smooth. Some of the facilities in the area have places where visitors can drink these hot spring waters, and doing so is said to help ease chronic gastrointestinal disorders and other digestive organ diseases.

- Shizuoka Numazu-shi Heda
- This scenic hot spring district, offering a view of Mt. Fuji from across Suruga Bay, is the newest in Izu-its waters only began gushing forth in 1986. The waters of its sulfate springs are said to treat such ailments as high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, and skin diseases. Some of the bathing facilities here boast an outdoor bath from which bathers can enjoy a view of the sun setting beyond Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji; there are also many lodging facilities in the area, ensuring visitors can choose one that matches their budget and purposes. The Ichi no Yu public bathhouse has hot spring water drinking facilities, and the hot spring stand next to the bathhouse sells water straight from a hot spring source which can be used at home. The stand is open from 6:00 to 23:00; prices are 200 for 500 liters and 100 for 200 liters.

- Shizuoka Izu-shi Yugashima
- This hot spring district famously appeared in Yasunari Kawabata's novel The Dancing Girl of Izu as well as Yasushi Inoue's Shirobamba. Situated in a beautiful river valley and a part of the Amagi Onsenkyo hot spring village, this hot spring generates an abundant flow of piping hot water and most of the bathhouses in Yugashima onsen, one area of Amagi Onsenkyo, are supplied by a source spring. Known as a therapeutic spring destination since ancient times, many people stay here for extended periods of time to aid their recovery after a serious illness. The waters of the area's calcium sodium sulfate springs are said to treat an abundant variety of ailments, including nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint inflammation, frozen shoulders, motor paralysis, joint stiffness, bruises, sprains, chronic digestive diseases, hemorrhoids, sensitivity to cold, and hardening of the arteries (note: those with advanced arteriosclerosis should avoid hyperthermal h bathing). There are also many sightseeing destinations in the area, including Joren Falls, selected as one of Japan's 100 most beautiful waterfalls; the massive Tarosugi cedar; and Namesawa Gorge.

Shizuoka Areas
With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
