    Tokyo Shinjuku-ku Shinjuku 3-6-12
A yose (comedic theater) hall designated a Local Cultural Property by Shinjuku City. The exterior of the building retains an Edo-period style yose theater atmosphere and blends in perfectly with the townscape of Shinjuku 3-chome, an area whose streets are lined with izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) and wine bars. The performer lineup changes every ten days, with the program for days 1-10 being called the kamiseki, 11-20 the nakaseki, and 21-30 the shimoseki. The theater is spacious and beverages (other than alcoholic drinks) are permitted. You can even enjoy a bento box lunch along with the performance.

    Tokyo Shinjuku-ku Nishi-waseda 3-5
"This traditional Japanese strolling garden built around a central pond is the only one of its kind to be operated by Shinjuku Ward. The site was originally a villa belonging to the Shimizu-Tokugawa family, and the garden which you can visit today is the same one originally created for this estate. ""Kansenen"" literally translates to ""Sweet Spring Garden,"" a name it is said to have been given because the waters of the spring which wells up on the site are perfect for making delicious tea. Popular as a Japanese garden which is easily accessible, the grounds are overflowing with natural, seasonal beauty, including azaleas and hydrangeas, new spring greenery, and fall foliage. In a wintertime tradition in Shinjuku, staff employed by the ward erect stunning yukizuri rope cages, a Japanese horticulture technique designed to protect trees from heavy snows."

Tokyo Areas

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
