    Tokyo Ota-ku Keihinjima 2
The roughly 100-hectare artificial island of Keihinjima is located to the north of Haneda Airport. It mainly hosts factories, but this municipal park extends about one kilometer along the eastern coast. Since it's right near Haneda Airport, it's a great spot for watching airplanes taking off and landing. The open lawn at the northern end of the park has a barbecue area and gets crowded with families on weekends. There are paved walking trails throughout the park which are great for walking and running year-round. Public toilets and free parking are also available.

    Tokyo Ota-ku Denenchofu Honcho
Rokugo-yosui is an irrigation canal fed by the Tama River. Heading south along the Tokyu Tamagawa Line (from Tamagawa Station), there is a walking path that runs along the recreated canal starting from the south end of the tunnel which crosses beneath the Nakahara Kaido . Completed in 1611, Rokugo-yosui was built by Tokugawa Ieyasu for new rice fields that boosted production, strengthening the shogunate's power base. Most of it has now been filled in, but at the time it consisted of more than 20 kilometers of waterways. Today spring water flows into the reconstructed channel, and the water's so clear you can even see carp and turtles.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
