Worth a look if you happen to be in the area. This commercial complex has a stunning architecture and stands out thanks to the castle like building at its end, which is quite unexpected in Tokyo !

    Tokyo Setagaya-ku Kitazawa 1-45-15
The first of the Honda Gekijo troupe's many theaters in Shimokitazawa. Originally it was a wooden two-story building with a bar on the first floor and apartments upstairs. It was reinforced with steel framing during large-scale renovations and resurrected as an unusual space hosting bars, long-term lodging, and a theater. It was then a rehearsal hall, but there was growing demand for a theater, leading to the facility as it is today. Shimokitazawa is called the Theater District, and some say The Suzunari was its start. Nowadays, a wide range of actors performing in everything from underground plays to comedies appear, and the playhouse is known for its unique performances.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
