- Located to the west of Sensoji Temple, it is said that this was Japan's first amusement park. When it opened in 1853 it was a flower garden, there is a distinctive retro atmosphere in the park that can only be made from the long history of Hanayashiki. The Space Shot scream machine is the park's oldest, most thrilling ride, and will blast you 60 meters into the air. From the top you can see out over Asakusa. It's a popular spot with families and couples.

- Opened in 2001, the Ikenami Shotaro Memorial Museum is dedicated to popularizing the achievements and works of Japanese author Shotaro Ikenami, who published numerous historical novel masterpieces. The museum has a collection of various materials and items relating to the author's works, a recreation of his study, as well as manuscripts and paintings created by the Ikenami's own hand. The facility also has a historical novel library.

2か月に1回くらい行きます。これくらい期間を空けると、前回観た芸人は今回違うネタだなとかこの新人巧くなったなとか判ります。 食べ物持ち込み可で、自販機でビールも買えます。土曜の昼間に何も考えずのんびり観てただただ笑うのは至福です。

東上野の永寿総合病院の南側に広がる公園です。 下谷神社を見た後、御徒町方面へ向かう途中に見つけました。雰囲気としては昔学校だった校庭に、木や遊具が点在している感じで、込み合う街中では少し広めに思います。天気のいい昼過ぎだったこともあり、ベンチで休む人や遊ぶ子供たちを多く見かけました。

リニューアル前はパッとしない感じでしたが、池もある日本庭園と共にきれいに整備され、夜も足元を照らすライトなどが増え、いい雰囲気になった気がします。 八幡神社があり、遊具も多く、夕方以降も隣の中学校の照明で結構明るく感じられました。仲御徒町駅も近いし、多慶屋の新館もでき、更に休憩する人が増えそうです。
