    Yahataya's main store has continued to produce its famous Wado Monaka confections since its founding in 1902. It uses ingredients produced in the pure water and air of the Chichibu area and makes its sweets according to traditional recipes. Wado Monaka is a favorite souvenir of the Chichibu area, and the store's Chichibu Jiman and Chichibu Wine Gelatin are also popular.

    A long-standing winery in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture. Chichibu Wine creates wines alive with the flavors of nature itself using grapes grown directly by the winery with care and attention paid to every step in the process starting with the preparation of the soil. The winery’s wines are characterized by excellent aftertaste and clear flavor and are available for purchase here from Chichibu Wine’s own shop.

    A shop specializing in pickled items that first opened in 1868. One of their specialties is their Narazuke pickled vegetables which starts with carefully chosen vegetables and sake lees and then considerable time is taken with each step being hand done without rushing to ensure the richest scent and flavor. In addition to their Narazuke they also have a variety of other popular goods including sake lees, kasuzuke various fish pickled in sake lees, and their specialty Cheena, which is cream cheese mixed with Narazuke gourds, Narazuke cucumbers and grated ginger pickled in a secret blend of sake lees.

    A confectioner that first opened in 1952. Their obsession over ever red bean and every grain of rice resulted in their famous Jumangoku Manjuu bun. This manjuu also won the Japanese Gift Grand Prize 2018 Saitama Award. They also offer a wide variety of other products including Japanese confections, western-style baked treats, treats for both happy or solemn occasions, special store only products, and seasonal sweets.

    文化財でもある本店にてコマーシャルで心引かれる台詞「うまい、うますぎる」埼玉県民であったかたなら一度は耳にする昔よりしられた和菓子屋さんですが、洋菓子もあります。 饅頭は昔ながらのとくに特徴はないものですが、数年前にドラマで一躍有名になったので、それで知った方も多いでしょうね。

    This shop first opened over 100 years ago and specializes in Tokorozawa's specialty grilled dango rice dumplings. They continue to use the same technique of grilling them over traditional charcoal grills. You can eat them on the spot or take them home with you. When you eat them on the spot dunk them twice in soy sauce beforehand but when taking them home three dunks is recommended. The wrapping paper used for the take away packages is very chic and makes for a great souvenir.

    A restaurant sporting a relaxed atmosphere located near the warehouse district. This farm- run restaurant features a menu of dishes made with local ingredients including fresh picked vegetables and Koedo Black Pork. Popular choices include their Koedo Black Pork Hamburg steak, a daily limited item made with 100% black pork, and their Mio Casalo Plate which features their home-made ham and sausage with fresh picked farm grown vegetables and German bread.

    黒豚カレーを食べましたが、ただのボンカレー。小さいサラダとスープが付いてますが税込1430円は高過ぎです。せいぜい700円くらいの価値です。観光地区で観光客が1番多い通り沿いなので、観光客相手に荒稼ぎしているようです。

    A long-standing confectionery shop known for their potato sweets that first opened in 1886. It was the stage for the drama “Naite Tamaruka” which aired in 1965 and starred actor Atsumi Kiyoshi. They normally have around ten different treats available including their Imoju Senbei, thinly sliced high quality sweet potato brushed with fresh ginger flavored molasses one by one and then baked, their Imoju Matsuba candied sweet potato fries, and Imoju-Tou sliced candied sweet potato. The shop has been designated as one of the Kawagoe City Landscape's Important Buildings.

    This tofu shop is located in Naruse, Ogose Town, Iruma County. A long-established store that has been making tofu for four generations since the early Showa period, Fujiya produces and directly sells tofu using carefully selected soybeans from all over Japan and bittern produced on Izu Oshima Island. Fujiya also sells desserts such as no-bake cheesecake and pudding made using tofu, and features the Fujiya Tofu Research Institute, where you can find tofu in combinations of different ingredients each month.

    越生こだわりとうふ 「藤屋」、お豆腐屋さんですが、レアチーズケーキがお勧めです。食感が良く、また甘すぎず、価格はやや高めですが、一度食べてみる価値はあると思います。その他お豆腐も多彩にあります。
