Yahataya's main store has continued to produce its famous Wado Monaka confections since its founding in 1902. It uses ingredients produced in the pure water and air of the Chichibu area and makes its sweets according to traditional recipes. Wado Monaka is a favorite souvenir of the Chichibu area, and the store's Chichibu Jiman and Chichibu Wine Gelatin are also popular.

１９０２年創業の老舗の菓子店です。秩父銘菓和銅最中を販売しています。貨幣の形をした最中皮には和同開珎の四文字がしっかりと刻まれており、小倉あんと柚子あんの2種類あります。また、秩父神社の知恵の神様のシンボルである梟の形をした梟サブレーも人気があります。

秩父神社の鳥居のはす向かいにある和菓子屋さんです。一番人気は秩父産の銅で作られた日本最古の硬貨の和同開珎に因んだ和同最中らしいのですが、お土産に頂いた秩父自慢というお饅頭を買いました。栗餡の上品な甘さがお勧めです。その他にも美味しそうな和菓子がいろいろあり、試食ができるものもあります。
