Hokkaido Sapporoshi Chuou-ku Miyanomori 1274

The Okurayama Jump Stadium hosted the Sapporo Winter Olympic in 1972 and many other international competitions. You can go to the viewing lounge in a two-person ski lift, and in five minutes see Sapporo City and the steep slope courses up close, which is quite fun. It is located about 30 minutes by car from Sapporo Station.

観光スポットに良くあるお土産屋兼レストランです。今回定期観光バスのコースに大倉山ジャンプ競技場が有って寄ってみましたが、荷物になる為購入しませんでした。ただ入口にいた雪ミクの笑顔には萌えました。〇１つ増やします。

Hokkaido Sapporo-shi Chuo-ku Nakajimakoen 1-17

This astronomical observatory is managed by the Sapporo Science Center located in Nakajima Park. The observatory uses a 20-centimeter refracting telescope to observe the sun and stars. The telescope can be used to observe the sun during the day and seasonal stars at night (night observation requires an advance application).

Great little observatory in the park. Explanation is only in Japanese. Nice to check out the telescope. Too bad its only open in daytime.

"Migishi Kotaro Museum of Art, Hokkaido is located around seven minutes' walk from Exit 4 of Nishi-Juhatchome Station on Sapporo's Tozai Metro Line. Established as a branch of Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, the museum is known as ""Mima"" by its many aficionados. The museum has focused on collecting and exhibiting the works of Migishi Kotaro, a Sapporo-born pioneer of modern art in Japan who died young, having had a dramatic impact on modern art in Japan over the course of his brief life. The building, which is located in the gardens of the Hokkaido Governor's Official Residence, has the romantic air of a real artist's atelier set amidst beautiful trees. The Junichi Watanabe Museum of Literature, located near Nakajima Park in Sapporo, opened in 1998. Designed by architect Tadao Ando, the modern building was designed to resemble a swan standing in the snow. It has an exhibition room, a library, a coffee shop, and a concert hall with a 100-person capacity.

渡辺淳一のファンなのでおまけで星三つですね。小倉の松本清張記念館と比べると大分見劣りしますね。パネルの色褪せた写真なんかは更新したらどうでしょうか。あと、地下鉄の駅の案内板では、北海道立文学館となってましたよ。

Hokkaido Kamikawagunkamikawachou Sounkyou

This is a gorge lined with cliffs of columnar joints continuing on for about 24 kilometers, located in the Daisetsuzan National Park in Kamikawa Town, Hokkaido. In the surrounds are the Sounkyo hot springs, one of Hokkaido’s premier hot spring areas lined with hotels and Japanese style inns. The name originates from the Ainu “sounbetsu” which means “the river with many waterfalls”, and was named in 1921 by Keigetsu Omachi. The waterfalls flowing from the cliffs—Ryusei (shooting star) and Ginga (milky way) Falls are a magnificent sight and regarded as one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan.

定期観光バスのさっぷ号でまた行きましたが、ロシアとのビザ無し交流の資料が見れます。ファイル数冊なので大量です。根室港に船で入港して道内を転々とするようです。日本から行く時は、友情の家が舞台です。何日か通って資料を読破したいです。入場無料ですし。

Hokkaido Hakodate-shi Goryokakucho 37-6

This museum is located near the Goryokaku Tower, a three-minute walk from the Goryoukaku Koen Iriguchi bus stop, and about seven minutes on foot from the tram stop Goryoukaku Koen-mae and is combined with the Hakodate Performing Arts Center. The exhibition focuses on modern works born in South Hokkaido and a collection of the calligrapher Kaneko Otei can be seen in the Otei Memorial room. Themed special exhibitions and lectures are also held. A family time is set up on Sunday mornings where families with children can casually visit and use discounts for special exhibitions. Original goods are also sold at the museum shop.

五稜郭の南側に、道立函館美術館があります。五稜郭タワー側に駐車場があり、そこから美術館入り口へ向かう遊歩道のような道がありました。入り口に近づくと、少し間隔を置いて、２体のブロンズ像がありました。これらのブロンズ像を目にすると、美術館に入る前から、目がアート仕様になりました。

Located around 15 minutes' walk from JR Kushiro Station in the waterfront area in Kushiro's city center, Kushiro Art Museum is an important center for culture and the arts in the Kushiro / Nemuro region. The main focus of the museum's collections and exhibits-which include everything from Nihonga paintings, oil paintings, woodblock prints and photographs to three-dimensional sculptures-is on works based on natural themes, and works that are connected to the Kushiro / Nemuro region. The Arts Hall-which is a combined concert hall and lecture hall-is used for holding film showings, museum seminars, lectures to accompany special exhibitions, etc. Workshops and experiential activities are also held in the Free Art Room.

芸術館とありますが、内容的には一般的な美術館に近いです。このエリアに関連した人物などの作品が展示されています、あまり存じ上げる方は正直少なかったので詳しい人じゃないとじっくりとは楽しめないかもしれません。

Situated along National Route 241 in Konan, Ashoro Town, Ashoro County, Hokkaido Prefecture. This museum collects and studies paleontological materials with a focus on the fossils of marine mammals excavated in Ashoro. Exploring the plant and animal life of Ashoro as well as tracing the history of the planet, exhibits include the skeletons of a variety of whales as well as examples of the extinct, mysterious Desmostylus. The museum also offers curator guided tours and activities like a miniature dig and replica making.

勉強になったのは、復元の際に解釈差がある事。たしか、3パターンある例が展示されていました。一番気になったのは、指の本数…。方や指4本、方や指5本とか。えっ？そんなにブレるの？正解は、誰にも分からないけど復元は、正解ではない事。たしかに、恐竜なんて誰も見た事ないよね。

The DiMasio Museum of the Sun in Shinkappu was opened in 2010 after renovating the town's Taiyo Elementary School, which was closed in 2008. This garden comprised of expansive flower fields extends along Tokachiheiya’s rural area in the outskirts of Obihiro. This park was created when gardener Akiyo Shichiku was 63 years old. Shichiku, who has a long-standing love of flowers, felt that she wanted to create a landscape where the wildflowers she played in as a child would bloom. All of the plants inside the 4,950 square meters of land that includes assorted trees from Hokkaido such as Japanese white birch and magnolia as well as more than 2,500 types of flowers were planted by Shichiku, and seeing the appearance of the garden change each season is a soothing sight to behold. The park has a restaurant and a horticulture shop.

After walking the garden, it was a nice break for tea and scones. Let be the pumpkin scone and the cream taste great. The tea set was lovely and the view out into the garden was great.

Located at the Koshimizu Natural Flower Garden in Abashiri Quasi-National Park, the “Hana” Information Center has a wide-screen movie theater showing films about the natural wonders of Koshimizu and how they change with the seasons, displays of specimens of the wild flowers that are found in the Koshimizu Primeval Garden, a shop, etc. Visitors are sure to enjoy themselves here whatever the weather. The Center is around 20 minutes’ journey by bus from Abashiri Station on the JR Senmo Line; get off at the “Gensei Kaen” bus stop.

天然のお花畑が素晴らしい小清水原生花園。その最寄りの駅である原生花園駅に隣接して建っているのがこちらの施設「小清水原生花園インフォメーションセンターHANA」です。花の咲く時期限定の季節営業のようで、私たちが訪れた４月中旬は、まだシャッターが閉じられていて営業していませんでした。

"This art museum is about a 30-minute drive from the Tokachi-Shimizu Interchange off the Doto Expressway. It was founded to honor the work of Nissho Kanda, who described himself as ""Farmer, and artist,"" and to serve as a base and promoter of Shikaoi's artistic culture. Nissho's work itself is marked by his use of painting knives to paint on plywood. Exhibits include many pieces that pursue a sense presence of the subjects, or that create the impression of following the observer. This is the museum of Takataya Kahei, a wealthy merchant from Awaji Island. Kahei who was originally a farmer, rapidly made his mark as a seaman with the help of his uncle. Kahei was pioneering in the foundation of Hakodate, developing the sea route between Kunashir Island and Iturup Island and was also attributed to be “The person who contributed to the development of Hakodate”. The museum exhibits a collection of about 500 items related to lifetime of Kahei, and focuses on items related to the ships on the Hakodate (the present Hakodate) to Osaka (the present Osaka) sea route.

The tourism and production center adjacent to JR Yoichi Station sells special products and also offers tourist information. In the souvenir corner there is a wide variety of liquors including Nikka Whiskey famous from the NHK morning drama and Yoichi wine. Their freshly baked apple pies using locally grown apples and handmade gelato are loved not only by tourists but also by locals. On the second floor is “Jump Kingdom Yoichi Exhibition Hall” displaying approximately 200 items of ski jumping Olympic medalists including skis they used etc.

余市駅ビルの位置付けのようで、土産物類のショップとバス案内所が同居していました。一寸した土産物調達には便利で列車待ち時間に有効利用出来ました。

A museum dedicated to Koetsu Ichinei, one of Japan's top mountain photographers and the leading photographer of the Daisetsuzan Volcanic Group. Housed inside the renovated building of the former Sounkyo Elementary School, the museum's 1,570 square meters of exhibition space make it one of the largest photo museums in Japan. This space has been put to use and one of the museum's defining characteristics is its many large photographs on display. The museum's collection consists of photos taken by Ichinei presenting the four seasons of the Daisetsuzan Volcanic Group as well as the creatures that live there.

Great way to get some idea of the terrain on the way up the mountain. Can run through the place in a short time.
