"This botanical garden to the east of Negoroji Temple is approximately four minutes by car from Iwade Negoro Interchange and about six minutes from Kinokawa Interchange. The ""Panorama Flower Bed"" in front of the green house and lawn features seasonal flowers and the area is dotted with plantings of roses, hydrangeas, and more. The southern part of garden has a lotus pond with bright pink blossoms you can view from their Ukimido area. They also hold lots of special programs including exhibitions and workshops."

着いた時間が早くまだ出勤中であったが、外景だけで先を急いだ。季節ごとに飽きさせない企画が用意されているようだが、場所がわかったので詳しくは次回の楽しみに。

This museum is approximately ten minutes on foot from Nankai Wakayamashi Station and 15 minutes by car from Wakayama Interchange. It opened in 2015 on the site of Wakayama Castle. You'll find the Wakayama City Tourist Information Center on the first floor, along with the Wakayama City Tourist Souvenir Center, which sells Kishu Nanko ume plums, Kishu Goten temari balls, and more. The second floor is an exhibition room that will get you in touch with the history of Wakayama Castle. It has a theater where you can see a virtual reality presentation about Wakayama Castle in the late Edo Period (1603–1868), as well as the reproduction of the Jissai-an tea house from the Yosui-en garden landscaped by the castle's 10th lord, Tokugawa Harutomi.

和歌山城の天守閣に登り紅葉渓庭園のほうを回ってからこちらに来ました。観光バス駐車場の近くです。紀州藩時代が中心かと思って中に入りました。和歌山出身の著名人の展示があり、こちらも楽しめました。松下幸之助や南方熊楠などが和歌山出身とは知りませんでした。雑賀衆の歴史はここでしか見ることができないものかもと思いました。

Here you can enjoy both the sea and the aquarium. Enjoy sites that you can’t see anywhere else including the world’s northernmost largest community of table coral and schools of swimming bluefin tuna. You can also try feeding the turtles and the tuna or go whale watching and check out the flying fish. In 2005 it joined the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.

Wakayama Pref. Wakayamashi Fukiage 1-4-14

This prefectural museum is located near Wakayama Castle in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture. It was moved to its current location and opened in 1994. Architect Kisho Kurokawa designed the building, which features glass walls for a bright, modern look. The collection consists of over 1,000 items, including cultural artifacts and historical documents related to Wakayama Prefecture on display, along with materials on Mt. Koya, the Kumano faith, and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route. There are also items that belonged to Kishu Tokugawa. The regular exhibits introduce 30,000 years of Wakayama Prefecture history, and special exhibitions and other projects are held year-round.

和歌山城天守閣から建物が見えたので護国神社の方向へ歩いてきてみました。和歌山の歴史を古墳時代から詳しく展示していました。普段あまり調べることもない場所だったので楽しく知識を仕入れることができました。隣の美術館と合わせて車で来ている人が多いようでした。近くに和歌山バスのバス停はあります。

Wakayama Pref. Goboushi Nadachou Ueno 1335-4

You can enjoy strawberry and melon picking at this tourist farm, located in Nada Town of Gobo City, Wakayama Prefecture. Strawberry picking is available from January through mid-May, and melon picking is from early July through mid-August. Strawberry picking is limited to 40 minutes, and you can eat your fill of Sachinoka, Akihime, and Marihime strawberries. Since they’re contained in elevated cultivation containers, you can stand and eat them without worrying about dirtying your clothes. You can also choose between all-you-can-eat and takeout courses.

"This museum is about five minutes on foot from Wakayamashi Station and about 20 minutes by car from Wakayama Interchange. Next to the Wakayama Civic Library, the museum opened in 1985. Their permanent exhibit ""What the Materials Tell of Wakayama's History"" has a total of six display areas. Five cover the primitive to the modern era, and a sixth Folk Area gives a feel for farm life. Their special and planned exhibits showcase various periods in history and different areas, and they host lectures and educational workshops too. "A museum dedicated to the ancient ""Man'yoshu"" poetry anthology located inside Kataonami Park. Here visitors can learn about the world of the ""Man'yoshu"" from a variety of perspectives using touch panels, informational signs, reproductions of and actual items used as part of daily life in the time period, and exhibits on the cultural background and customs at the time of the ""Man'yoshu."" 和歌浦にある県立の施設で、入場無料でした。隣接のレストランで食事するなどすると駐車場も無料になります。万葉集の中で風光明媚で有名な和歌浦がよく詠まれていることにちなんでこの地に建てられたそうです。

"This is a cavern where one can encounter a dinosaur experience just 20 minutes by car from the Hanazono branch of Katsuragi-cho town office. Two dinosaurs greet you at the gate of the cavern labyrinth. Once inside, the diorama corner displays dioramas of Triceratops and Pteranodons, and one can pass on through the cool maze of fluorescent minerals through the ‘glowing tunnel’ while enjoying the various Jurassic displays. In the Gokuraku-do (paradise cave), visitors can experience the world after death in Buddhism by walking along the passages leading either to ""paradise"" or ""hell"" themed areas. Besides, 200,000 kerria bushes which reach their peak bloom around the long holiday in May."

恐竜ランドに行くまでは、恐竜の化石が発掘されたといった経緯があって作られたと施設だと、勝手に思っていましたが、全く関係なく、小原鉱山の廃坑を利用して村の活性化のために作られたものでした。中の蛍光石は天然ではなく展示品で、ちょっと残念でした。

This sea fishing park is in Wakayama Marina City on a man-made island in Wakayama Bay in Wakayama. Even children and beginners can have fun fishing at this popular spot. In this Ocean Fishing Pond you can catch larger fish such as sea bream and amberjack and even if nothing is biting they guarantee at least one sea bream with half day admission. The fishing park covers a 570-meter-long breakwater and the fish you can catch will change depending on season including flounder, black porgy, filefish, mackerel, and horse mackerel. Rental fishing gear and bait are available on site.

ＧＷ中で海釣り公園も人でいっぱいでした。海釣り公園と釣り堀の二形態あり、もちろん値段は違いますが釣り公園でのんびり釣りをするも良し、釣り堀で大型魚の釣り体験するも良しその時々に選べてまた来たいです。

When a tsunami was generated after a major earthquake in 1854, Hamaguchi Goryo set fire to the rice straw stacked in his own fields in order to guide the local villagers toward safety. This museum is comprised of two halls, Hamaguchi goryo Archives introducing the life of Hamaguchi Goryo and anecdotes relating to his character, and Tsunami Educational Center which conveys the dangers of earthquakes and tsunami as well as important disaster prevention knowledge. Game-based exhibits, videos, and simulators present disaster prevention information relating to the topics of first-aid, prevention, and recovery. Closest station: Yuasa Station.

A paid campground surrounded by abundant nature located downstream from Kawayu Onsen. Customers can choose between three areas to pitch their tent: a first-come first-served campsite area that requires no reservation, an area with lots of shade and grass that is comfortable to sleep on, and a riverbed area which can even be driven to from a nearby parking lot. The grounds are replete with a shop, toilets, grills, and food preparation facilities. There's also a farmer's market selling local vegetables which many people visit to pick up food to make while camping or to buy souvenirs to bring back home. As the campground does not rent equipment, make sure you have everything you need to go camping before you come.

熊野古道を旅した時に利用しました。熊野の大自然を満喫できゆったりのんびり出来るキャンプ場です。施設は綺麗な水洗トイレ、水道駐車場があり芝生のテントサイトと車中泊サイトのエリアがあります。目の前で川遊びができ、ペット同伴OKです。分別ゴミステーションがあるのでゴミの持ち帰りが無いのが嬉しいです。薪も￥600で売っていました歩いて10分以内に公衆浴場があります大人¥800 車¥700

There are approximately 2,000 cherry trees in the park, and during blooming season, the park is filled with visitors enjoying the blossoms day after day. "This park in Kimino Town has a theme of “closeness."" Their Wanpaku Square is fun for everyone from kids to adults. It combines a playground with a big castle that has slides, a suspension bridge, a climbing wall, and more. From the adjacent lookout there's a great view of the park's natural scenery. They have lots of other facilities too, like 20 campsites (no equipment rental) and the first 36-hole park golf course in Wakayama Prefecture, officially recognized by the Nippon Park Golf Association."

紀美野町は合併前は野上町だったのでこの名前になっている山の上にある公園で、芝生広場、遊具、オートキャンプ場、パターゴルフ場などがある。隣に和歌山県動物愛護センターがあり、犬ネコとのふれあいコーナーもある。子供連れで行っても楽しい場所。園内に産直品販売とカフェのふれあい館がある。

This park with its natural and agricultural themes is about 15 minutes by car from Wakayama Interchange. It consists of two areas: The Nature Observation Forest and the Ryokka Kaju-en Orchard. Kids learn about the natural world at both the Nature Center and the Entrance Plaza with their ample playground equipment and reading materials. The park's many hands-on workshops let parents, kids, and their friends get in touch with nature year-round. Visitors also enjoy viewing their rose conservatory with nearly 800 bushes, as well as the roughly 900 bushes in their rose garden.

国道311号線を走っていれば、急に開けた道の駅などもある交差点を北へと、多分間違いようはなかろうか。田辺市は公私の南方熊楠の博物館・記念館は立派で、市立・地域・県立の図書館もあるが、志を維持できない施設もあるのかもしれない。

メインはプラネタリウム（4F）の観賞であるが、1F〜3Fの各フロアーにも子供の科学的な興味を引く実験道具的なものが豊富に準備され、2〜3時間はゆうに遊べる内容になっている。プラネタリウムは通常の星座や天体観測の他にドラえもんの宇宙旅行が併映され、子供達は大いに楽しんでいた。

This diving spot in Kushimoto Town, Higashimuro County, Wakayama City, is one of the best in the country and has plenty of dive locations for everyone from beginners to experts. With the mild climate at the southernmost tip of Honshu Island and the Kuroshio current you can see a view of the ocean that’s unique to Kushimoto and different from any other temperate or tropical location. In the bay you can see over 100 different types of coral and colorful fish and in the open sea you’ll come face to face with large migratory fish. The beach near the diving park is private and has a usage fee for its facilities. A wide variety of programs and rentals are offered including diving and boat-diving.

This beach is just a 10-minute walk from the Wakayama Marina City. This beach, surrounded by with high-rise buildings, bridges, and palm trees lining the shoreline has ambiance of an attractive modern resort area. The water is only 1.5 meters deep and families can safely enjoy the beach with their children, which is equipped with showers and lockers. In areas not designated for swimming, wind surfing and wave surfing is allowed. The beach is open everyday during the two months of July 1 through August 31.

A 20-minute drive from JR Kii-Uchihara Station. This nature park is situated on top of 327.8-meter-high Mt. Nishi located on the border between Hidaka Town and Mihama Town. Outfitted with walking paths and rest areas, the park is the perfect destination for picnicking and hiking; an observatory in the park also offers a sweeping view encompassing the Hidaka Plain, Enjugahama Beach, the Hiisaki Coast, and the Kii Channel. The fantastic scenery visible from here was also selected for inclusion in a list of the 100 best sunrises and sunsets in Wakayama. Visitors to the park can also see seasonal flowering plants and wild birds.

"This is the library for the sake-maker. The exhibition hall was used by the old sake brewery, and exhibits tools for producing sake from the Nate Sake Brewery as well as daily living items at that time. You can learn sake-brewing methods from the Edo period (1603-1868) and see business records with the abundant materials. The Black Cattle Teahouse on the opposite side is a reception area and cafe with tables and chairs made from sake-making tools to create a warm atmosphere. Besides being able to taste of sake such as ""Kuroushi"" and ""Hitotsukami,"" you can also relax with coffee or sweet sake. In addition, they sell mainly products from Nate Sake Brewery and also local Wakayama souvenirs such as sake vessels."

海南市にある、和歌山の銘酒、黒牛の蔵元のお店と資料館。駐車場も広くとられています。黒牛の大吟醸から新酒まで、あらゆる銘柄が購入できます。迷ったらこれ、純米吟醸をお土産に買って帰りました。
