    This is number 28 of the 33 Saigoku pilgrimage (33 temples in the Kinki area containing a statue of Kannon) temples. The principal object of worship is the beautiful Kannon (Avalokiteshvara), and it said that if one visits the temple both mind and body will become beautiful. Spring cherry blossoms and autumn changing leaves are both wonderful, and from the ground’s viewing platform offers views of the renowned area of scenic beauty “Amanohashidate,” one of Japan’s three famous sites.

    Not many tourist. A peaceful place, you may take bus from the Kasamatsu Park and arrive in 7 minutes. Be aware of the but timeable since the park close early.

    Kyoto Maidurushi Matsuno 532
    Said to have been established in 708, this is temple 29 of the Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage (33 temples in the Kinki area containing a statue of Avalokitesvara). Located halfway up Aobayama, the gohonzon or principal object of worship is a carving of a seated figure of the Batokanzeon bodhisattva (Horse-headed Kannon). The treasure hall has many National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties, and they are displayed for approximately one month in both spring and autumn. Every year on May 8th the Hotokemai (Buddha Dance) is held when people wear masks representing Dainichi Nyorai, Shaka Nyorai, Amida Nyorai and perform the dance as an offering.

    徒歩で駅から約50分、バス停から約30分ぐらいで着きます。徒歩の場合は入山料無料。 山門の修理は終わっていました。西国では唯一の、馬頭観音が御本尊。 馬頭観音は、第四番施福寺でも拝観できますが、松尾寺の馬頭観音は片膝立ちです。 近くの金剛院とのセット参拝がお勧めです。

    Kyoto Maidurushi Kahara 595
    This temple is in Kahara, Maizuru City. Opened in the Heian period by Takaoka-shinno, legend says it was later re-dedicated by the Emperor Shirakawa. Connected to the Kahara Park, a historical natural conservation area, the local scenery it offers is also fantastic with natural wonders like beautiful autumn colors, and the Important Cultural Asset Three-story Pagoda tower.

    宝物殿は、事前予約とのことで、前日に予約させていただきました。お寺さんの諸仏説明の後、じっくり見仏する時間をいただけます。何と言っても、深沙大将は最高です。 同じ快慶作高野山霊宝館のものと見比べても面白いです。 境内の三重塔や本殿も風情があり、俗世を忘れさせてくれます。

    This temple in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture belongs to the Myoshinji school of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. Also called Monjudo, it enshrines Monju Bodhisattva. Known as a deity of wisdom, lots of students come for prayers, especially at exam time. The temple has many important cultural assets too, such as its Tahoto Pagoda.

    智恩寺の山門をくぐって左手にある。この多宝塔は室町時代のもので、重要文化財に指定されている。歴史の重みを感じさせる。けばけばしくないのがいい。

    Kyoto Kyoutangoshi Kumihamachou 1845
    Nyoiji Temple, a temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, is located in Kumihama-cho in the city of Kyotango in Kyoto Prefecture. It is dedicated to the Eleven-faced Kannon, a form of the Goddess of Mercy. Known as the temple where you can see the sea, its panoramic view of Kumihama Bay attracts many visitors. A festival known as Sennichi-e is held every year on August 9, attracts large numbers of visitors. The festival features fireworks, but lanterns are also set afloat, and a series of fires forming the character dai or large are lit on the hillside.

    An almost 10-meter tall sea cave in a seaside cliff in the Tango-Amanohashidate-Oeyama Quasi-National Park. On site is the main temple building and main gate of the Seiryozan Kuhonji Temple, one of the three Tango Monju temples, and next to the main hall is a small path leading down the cliff face. The scale of this sea cave makes it one of the foremost examples of such.

    A Buddhist temple in the Rinzai sect Tenryuji School with a statue of Shakyamuni as the principle object of worship. The temple is famous for their collection of 44 sliding door paintings(named Hojyo-shohekiga) by Japanese painter Nagasawa Roshu (1767-1847) of the Maruyama Sect. These are incredibly precious examples of late-Edo period style painting and include paintings in the six rooms of the main hall such as eight panels of a Tiger painting and eight panels of Flowers and Birds. The paintings have been designated a Cultural Property of Kyoto Prefecture.

    西舞鶴の静寂な街並みの中に佇む、厳かな寺院でした。 トイレを借りようと声をかけたら、法要の人と間違えられ『どうぞお上がりください』と言われ、間違いだとわかると『そこの公衆トイレを使って』と言われ、何とも感じの悪い応対をされました。

    駐車場側にも入口がありましたが、山門へ廻ってみました。大きな寺号標が立ち、臨済宗天龍寺派波照山得月寺 と詳しく記されていました。山門からは斜め奥に位置して本堂が立ち、手前は庭として整備されていました。普段は静かに参拝出来る寺院のようで、東舞鶴駅から何とか徒歩圏内となっていました。

    舞鶴観光の際に寄ったお寺さん。 共楽公園のある丘の中腹に位置していて、改築したのだろか？比較的新しいものの山門、本堂、石仏などは非常に綺麗でゆっくり見たかった。法事があったようで参列者の目がなかなかシビアだったので、ちょこっと見るだけで終わってしまった。 山門の階段の下に駐車場がある。クルマの場合、寺に近づきすぎると細い路地になるのでご注意を！

    舞鶴の朝のウォーキングで寄ったお寺さん。 お寺の撮影の為に飾りつけがされており、それがなかなか趣があって運が良かった。 寺は醍醐寺を総本山とする真言宗醍醐派に属しており、山号は鎮守山。これは日本海海戦で有名な東郷平八郎元帥と寺の懸空上人が親交があった事でついたそうだ。 敷地内には七福神が閲覧できる館もある。

    国の重要伝統的建築物群保存地区に指定されている、加悦地区のちりめん街道。そのちりめん街道ぞいにある寺院。ちりめん街道じたいも歴史ある建築物が多く残っていますが、このお寺も歴史があり、特に山門はとても立派です。

    丹後由良駅の方から行ったのですが、最初わからず。国道１７８号から神社を目安に行く方がまだわかりやすい気がします。身代わり地蔵が有名だそうですが事前連絡が必要なため、してない私は見ずに帰りました。

    舞鶴で朝のウォーキングで寄ったお寺さん。 街中にあるので、それほど大きくはないが、本堂横手前には、1935年の石井瓦店で製作された鬼瓦が遺構としてのこされている。これがなかなかの迫力なので、これを見るだけでも十分観光になる。 本堂は朝早かった為か閉まっており、市指定文化財の阿弥陀如来立象を見る事ができなかった。

    舞鶴のお寺めぐりで寄った寺。 行ってみたら普通の家屋の一部をお寺にしているようで、観光用ではないようだ。 浄土宗の属し、本堂には阿弥陀如来が祀られているとの事。 駐車場はあり、その正面に山門が唯一の見どころ。
