無料の駐車場があちこちにあります。その周りには名物のお土産屋やお休み所がありました。縁結びの神様と豪華絢爛な歓喜院聖天堂です。散歩コースにもなる貴惣門中門仁王門からの本殿。平和の塔や実盛公像などなど見どころがいっぱいです。名物のでっけーお稲荷さんのお店は行列ができていました。

Saitama Pref. Kawagoeshi Renjakuchou 7-1

A Buddhist temple located in Renjaku-cho, Kawagoe City. The temple's principal object of worship is a statue of Amitabha Tathagata created in the distant Kamakura period. The temple also enshrines a statue of the high priest Donryu said to grant worshippers safe childbirth and aid in childrearing, and a statue known as Obinzuru-sama which is said to cure one of illness when one touches it. A festival is held at the temple on the eighth of each month to worship Donryu, and on these days a variety of shops open up on the grounds and traditional art performances are held, attracting large numbers of visitors. The temple is also dedicated to Fukurokuju, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, and the temple makes up part of the Koedo Kawagoe Seven Gods of Fortune Pilgrimage.

Renkei-Ji was built in 1549 and was popular during the Edo Period. A disciple of Buddha sits near the entrance and it is said that it has healing properties. Sadly it did not fix my problems but...

A Buddhist temple situated along Prefectural Route 15 in Kubo-machi, Kawagoe City. A branch temple of the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple to which a portion of the head temple's spirit of Acala was ritually transferred, the temple was founded by Ishikawa Sho'on in 1850. The temple holds a flea market on the 28th of each month and visitors will find a variety of stalls selling curios and other items.

The story goes is that the originator of the Naritasan Hongiyoin in Narita lost sight, found it again and was inspired to set up an annex (Betsuin) in Kawagoe. This is a very neat temple and smaller...

Saitama Pref. Chichibushi Higashimachi 26-7

Located near Ohanabatake Station on the Chichibu Main Line, Jigenji Temple is instantly recognizable by its stout, black-painted gate. Founded in 1486, it was long considered the 13th site of Chichibu's 34 temples devoted to Kannon, as well as the home of the god of eyesight, and for these reasons it attracted worshippers. Among the many cultural relics and historical treasures found on the temple grounds are a standing statue of Kanzeon (Kannon), a round library where 1630 sutra scrolls are stored, and wooden statues of the 13 monks who founded the temple.

目の仏様、薬師瑠璃光如来が祀られているお寺さまです。歴史を感じる、立派な建物の神社です。自分は目が良いのですが、このお寺さんの歴史というか、本殿の姿に圧倒されました。好きなお寺さんです。

Boasting a 1200-year history, Kitain Temple is a National Designated Important Cultural Property that houses several valuable Cultural Properties. In addition to ordinary worship and visits to the main temple building, it also puts on occasional exhibitions of its treasures, which make available to visitors the precious items it has kept throughout its long history. The souvenir shop within its precincts was opened in 1972 and is well known as the first temple-based souvenir shop for tourists within the city limits of Kawagoe.

「川越散策マップ」の中で七福神のマークがついていたので、喜多院の境内にあるこちらの大黒天にも立ち寄りました。小さなお堂の周りには幟旗がたっていて雰囲気を盛り上げていました。

Saitama Pref. Hannoushi Hannou 1329

This temple is located just a 15 minute drive from the Sayama-Hidaka Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway. It is said that this temple was formed when the military commander of Hanno, Nakayama Iekatsu invited the distinguished priest, Kamaya Fumitatsu and established a small hut, and then the son of Iekatsu, Ienori, built the temple in order to pray for his father's peaceful repose. To the north of the main sanctum lies the Ikeizumi contemplative type Horai Garden selected as one of Japan's top 100 gardens, and is designated as a Municipal Cultural Property. Many flowers bloom in the garden in every season, but the fall foliage is the most recommended. Every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon zazen meditation sessions are held.

Saitama Hanno-shi Minami 461

This temple is located in Minami, Hanno City. Founded by Neno-Hijiri in 911, it was later established as Neno-Hijiri Daigongen Shrine to deify Neno-Hijiri. It has long attracted visitors who believe in its power to preserve one’s mobility, and on the ground there is a two-ton pair of imitation straw sandals made of steel. It is the 32nd temple of the Musashino 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.

ここの絵馬にあたるものは草履になっていて、それに付いている厚紙に願い事を書きます。また絵馬を買うと草履のお守りがもらえます。

Saitama Chichibu-gun Minanomachi Shimo-hinozawa 3522

This temple is located in Shimohinozawa, Minano Town, Chichibu County. The 34th temple on the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage, it is also the final temple on the 100 Kannon Pilgrimage along with the Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage and Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. For the Osunafumi (sand stepping) on the grounds of the temple, sand from each of the 100 Kannon temples is gathered here, so by worshipping here, you will receive the divine blessing of having completed the 100 Kannon Pilgrimage.

札所34番の水潜寺さんへ行きました。道路から急な坂を上ると本殿にお参りできます。このお寺さんへ行きたいと思ったのは、本店の天井の絵が素敵だからです。この絵を切ることが出来て良かったです。天井にはたくさんの絵が描かれており、どれも独特で鳥類や動物などが描かれていました。これを拝むことが出来て満足です。また、行きたいと思います。

Saitama Hanno-shi Takayama 346

This temple is located in Takayama, Hanno City. Founded in 654, it is a famous temple known, along with Narita Fudo and Takahata Fudo, as one of the three great shrines to the guardian deity Fudo in the Kanto region. The wooden statue of the Gundari-myoou, created in the Heian period, is designated as a National Important Cultural Property, and the 800-year-old “Childcare Ginkgo” tree on the grounds is designated as a Prefectural Natural Monument.

西吾野駅から、関八州見晴台経由で来訪。西武鉄道のハイキングコースを参考にしました。感想としては、登山シューズやウェアなど、登山用の装備に助けられました。それなりに体力は必要ですが、眺めも良く、行くまでも行ってからも楽しめますよ！

Jorin-ji tucked away in a residential area in Sakuragi-machi, Chichibu City is a temple of the Soto School. This historical temple is known as the 17th temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage, and it is said that it was the 1st temple in the Chichibu Kannon Pilgrimage Ranking List in 1488 which is a temple treasure in Hosho-ji Temple. In the precinct, there is a Kannon Hall which decorated with fretwork of flowers and birds on ranma openwork, and a rare temple bell (a prefecturally-designated Tangible Cultural Property) on which principal images for 100 holy places in Saigoku, Bando and Chichibu are embossed and goeika (a Buddhism poem) for each stamp office is carved.

本堂外側に天井画（但し描かれている内容は良くわからず）がありますが、本堂内部にも天井画がありこちらは建物内に描かれ内部照明が暗くしているせいか（或は近年修復作業が行われたのか）色彩を含め綺麗に残っています（添付写真参照）。但し内部照明を落としてあるので懐中電灯無しだと暗くて内部天井画はよく見えません（偶然私達は懐中電灯を所持していたので内部天井画を鑑賞することが出来まし...

A Buddhist temple located in 2-Chome Fudooka, Kazo City. Built on the order of Emperor Koko, the temple's principal object of worship is a statue of Acala, and the temple is counted as one of the three great Acala temples of the Kanto region alongside the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and the Takahata Fudoson Kongo-ji Temple. The temple's Setsubun celebration, held each year on February 3, boasts a history dating back some 400 years and attracts many visitors.

元和２年に總願上人によって開基されたお寺だそうで、160年以上前から続く大護摩焚きの行事は、秋の盛大なお祭りらしい。

Saitama Pref. Hannoushi Kaminaguri 3198

This temple is in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. Boasting of about 30 hectares of land, it was chosen one of Saitama's Top 100 Sightseeing Spots. The founder, Hiranuma Yataro, spent 30 years constructing the buildings spread all over the mountain. The spirit of Xuan Zang, who wrote Saiyuki (Journey to the West), is enshrined in Xuan Zang (Japanese: Gensho Sanzo) tower. This is also a famous fall-leaf viewing spot.

名栗湖のハイキングの帰りに見つけました。山の頂上にそびえ立つ観音像は神々しく光っていました。また、下にある観音堂には自由に入ることができ、しばらく瞑想をするのに持って来いの場所です。

This old temple of the Shingi Shingon sect of Buddhism was built to venerate the victims of the Mt. Asama eruption in 1783. It is the only fudasho in Chichibu that still has a fuda-do hall, and it is the sixteenth temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage. A peculiar temple in the country, it contains a corridor with replicas of the main statues found in each of the 88 Temples on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. With weeping cherry trees and peonies on the grounds, you’ll find beautiful flowers blooming every spring.

"A Buddhist temple located in Terao, Chichibu City. A ""senbikizaru"" chandelier-like decoration hangs in the temple's Kannondo hall, while water from the Chisuiba spring is said to improve breast milk flow. This is the 20th temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon pilgrimage; together with the Saigoku 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kinki region and the Bando 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kanto region, these three pilgrimages make up the Japan 100 Kannon pilgrimage."

岩之上堂は名前の通り崖の上にありますが、駐車場はさらに上にあります。初見が屋根と秩父の山々というビューになるので、ちょっと不思議な感じ。石段を下り、木々が茂る庭を抜け本堂へ。木造の味のある本堂ですが、なかは吊るし雛で溢れています。何かいわれがあるのかな。本堂の前に大きな紅葉の木があったので秋におすすめ。

A Buddhist temple founded in 751 located in Niihori, Hidaka City. Located on high ground in Komago, an area pioneered by settlers who traveled here from the ancient Korean kingdom of Goguryeo, the temple's principal object of worship is a state of Acala. The temple also enshrines a Buddhist statue of guardian buddha of King of Goryeo, Jako, Nandikesvara. The temple's grounds are outfitted with walking paths and scenic observatories for visitors to enjoy. In spring, a 170-year old higan cherry tree growing on the park's grounds comes into bloom along with various weeping and Yoshino cherries and other flowering trees and plants.

"A Buddhist temple located in Yokoze Town, Chichibu County. Established in 1234, the temple enshrines an eleven faced, seated statue of Kannon known as the ""Mochiyama Kannon"" as well as a statue depicting the Amitabha triad. 浦山口駅から歩いて向かいました。荒川を渡り向かったお寺は山門をくぐるり観音堂をお参りして少し離れた本堂のほうで御朱印を頂きました。途中の池には睡蓮が咲いてました。時期が合えば蓮の名も見られるようです。

うっすらとした記憶が甦ってくる細い路地を車走らせ到着するあずかり観音様と牛と山神様達が待っていてくれたトイレ奥には干支の虚空蔵菩薩様が！本殿にも観がいるお墓側には弁財天が！とにかく盛り沢山賑やかなお寺さんだ楽しいし、面白いまた参拝したい

A Buddhist temple located in Yokoze, Yokoze Town, Chichibu County. The main temple building is believed to have been designed based on a drawing by renaissance man Hiraga Gennai. The Kannondo hall inside the main building enshrines the temple's principal object of worship, an 11 faced statue of Kannon. 秩父観音霊場第七番に指定されている曹洞宗のお寺です。境内は広く落ち着いた雰囲気で、正面に平賀源内の設計と伝えられる大きな本堂があるが、入口が左に寄った独特な造りです。境内にある豊川稲荷は家内安全や商売繁盛のご利益があるほか、山門前にある特徴ある石柱、恵比須・大黒天、牛伏堂由来の石像、観音像など、由来がありそうな珍しい像が多いお寺でした。

This temple, created out of the merger of Hahasozan Zofuku-ji Temple and Goyozan Shorin-ji Temple, is the 15th temple on the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage which attracts many devout worshippers. The main hall is a rare building in which both Japanese style architecture and Western style craftsmanship was used. It was built with a hipped, gabled and tiled roof with the walls plastered white to create a fireproof structure. In addition to having many flowering trees in the precincts, more than 5,000 Amur Adonis plants have been planted by former priests making the temple a famous place for admiring the flowers.

駐車場は広く通りを渡ったお寺の敷地は細長く何だか？事件があった様だ貧しさの中でもがき暴徒化した困窮民集団に警部補二人が殉職した秩父事件が！お二方のお墓がお寺の粋な計らいでここに作られた様だ窪田・青木両警部補のご冥福をお祈りいたしますまた住職に感心しました
