    和菓子屋さんですが喫茶スペースがあり、和菓子以外もいただけるようです。和菓子は種類が多くて選ぶのを迷ってしまいます。私がいつも購入するのは栗の入った上品な甘さの「きんつば」と栗が丸々一個入った蕎麦饅頭「八百姫千代寿」で私のお気に入りです。和菓子ばかりでなく、日持ちもする焼き洋菓子もあります。商品によって購入注文してから少々時間がかかるものもあり、茶菓子の接待(無料)をいただけることもあります。

    福井市内から越前海岸にドライブに行った時に、途中で見つけた和菓子のお店です。老舗菓子処かと思って立ち寄ったのですが、看板商品は生どら焼きのようです。色々なフレーバーがあり、どれにしようか迷いましたがラムレーズンを購入。ちょっと変わっていて良かったです。

It's a highly regarded as a pastry that blends Japanese and western techniques and has won the Prime Minister's Award at the National Confectionery Exposition.

    羽二重くるみが美味しいとの口コミを読み、これを目当てに訪れました。遅い時間だと売り切れるとの情報があったので、早めの時間に行き、無事購入できました。単品1個でも110円で購入できるので、試しに1個だけ買って味をみてみるのも良いかと思います。賞味期限は5日間です。

    A long-standing Japanese confectioner that's been open since the Meiji period. Their specialty is Habutaemochi rice dumplings made with local Fukui prefecture rice. Their treats have been highly regarded at the National Confectionery Exposition and have won multiple prizes. Along with their standard mochi another popular creation is their Arranged Habutaemochi with fills the middle with red bean paste, matcha green tea flavored paste, strawberry, and more. They also offer it sandwiched together with red bean paste between dorayaki pancakes. Here at the main store they don't just sell Habutaemochi but also a variety of seasonal sweets including red-bean mochi, potato yokan jelly, and ayu-mochi decorated to look like a sweetfish.

    羽二重餅がメインの和菓子屋さんです。洋菓子もあり、どれもお手頃価格なので普段使いはもちろん、ちょっとしたお土産にもなりそうです。羽二重ちょこ包み(700円)を購入しましたが、やわらかい羽二重餅の中に生チョコのようなクリームが入っていて美味しかったです。

    A long-standing Japanese confectioner that's been open for over 100 years. It's claimed to be the birthplace of Fukui's famous Habutaemochi rice dumpling. This famous shop, beloved to the locals, has also made an appearance in the famous manga, Chihayafuru. Here at the main store they also sell other treats including Habutaemochi filled Monaka wafer cakes and Dorayaki, pancaked stuffed with red bean paste. During the summer they also sell Japanese-style shaved ice with Habutaemochi stuck in it. While in the winter they sell the special Ichimai Nagashi Mizuyokan red bean jelly, which in Fukui is synonymous with the season.
