This long-standing dining hall is on National Route 58 in Ogimi Village in the Kunigami County. It’s known for its “gyuniku soba” (beef soba), which features mounds of stir-fried bean sprouts seasoned with black pepper as well as beef. There’s also “soki soba” (Okinawan noodles made from wheat powder) and “yakiniku okazu” (grilled meat side dish), among other original Okinawan dishes. There’s often a long line in the afternoon at this popular spot.

Dont miss the gyuniku soba! A huge amount of stir fried beef and moyashi over a bowl of noodles. Moyashi is at the right point, not raw but still very crunchy. And all that beef juice slowly...

    Okinawa Pref. Yaeyamaguntaketomichou Iriomote 666
This is the only ramen shop on Iriomote Island. The handmade noodles and gyoza made from homemade dough are very popular. You can also enjoy Chinese cuisine made from local ingredients. The hot and sour tanmen, which is packed with sour and spicy ingredients, is especially popular. There are about 20 seats inside the restaurant. There’s also a supermarket and post office nearby, so it’s easy to find.
  • Inaka (Public Market South Branch)
    Gourmet / Alcohol
    Okinawa Pref. Nahashi Matsuo 2-10-20
Located near the First Makishi Public Market inside the “Chitose Shotengai Building,” this restaurant's specialty is soki soba (Okinawan noodles made from wheat flour). The simple soki soba dish, with its clear broth, is not only delicious, but also reasonably priced, making it a great choice for those on a budget.

"This is a tsukemen specialty shop located in front of Furujima Station in Mekaru 1-Chome, Naha City. They offer a quantity-limited ""rich pork-based seafood mazesoba"" and ""rich tonkotsu seafood tsukemen"" which features dipping sauce with four types of fish flour blended in a rich pork-based soup, and homemade noodles which exhibit the aroma and sweetness of flour. There are student-limited deals too, like a large portion of noodles at no charge."

The food is not very special. However, it has a nice sea view. We ordered Beef (with intestine) Noodle but the flavor is not very well. The taste is way too strong for kids and smell like blood.

Okinawa Areas

around-area-map

Let go of your image of a busy, ordered Japan and replace it with crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and relaxing folk music: You’ve arrived in Okinawa. A world away from the high intensity of Tokyo, Okinawans appear to live a laid-back beach life on this paradisiacal tropical island that lies in the middle of the East China Sea almost 1,000 kilometers south of mainland Japan’s most southern tip. Home to a spattering of islands, prepare yourself to discover underwater caves, star-shaped sand, and an island culture sometimes unrecognizable from mainland Japan.
