    "This hot spring bathhouse is located in the foothills of Sakurajima's north peak about a 10-minute drive from Sakurajima Port. The bathhouse is fully equipped with indoor baths, outdoor baths, saunas, family baths, a lounge, and other facilities. Bathers can enjoy soaking in the deep ochre sodium chloride spring water that is free-flowing spring water straight from the source. After a bath, guests can comfortably relax in the bathhouse's spacious lounge. The bathhouse also features ""welfare baths"" with elder-friendly designs."

A 10-minute walk from Sakurajima Ferry Terminal, it is one of the largest foot baths in Japan. Here in this popular spot visitors can take a leisurely break in between exploring Sakurajima and enjoy the mountain scenery, townscape, and the view of Kagoshima Bay. Constantly filled from a natural hot spring source, the bath is available for all to use free of charge.

Over 100 active volcanoes across Kagoshima make it one of the Japan's most exciting prefectures. Down the Satsuma Peninsula, the most southerly part of mainland Japan, waterfalls, sand onsen, and fascinating history await, while Kagoshima's abundance of satsuma imo (sweet potato) provide a wholesome snack as well as one of Japan's favourite drinks - shochu.
