- This rural tourism complex a 10-minute drive from the Ajimu Interchange on the Higashikyushu Expressway has a river and a park and serves as space where the rural and urban intermingle. Its farmers' market sells specialty products from Ajimu-machi, fresh vegetables picked on local farms, and an abundant variety of grapes. The market also carries a wide selection of handmade breads and Japanese deli-style foods, as well as seasonal manju buns. The adjoining restaurant serves local cuisine, and dishes made with local soft-shelled turtle, such as the soft-shelled turtle udon noodles, are particularly recommended. The Kyoho grape soft-serve ice cream is also popular.

- This farmers' market is located right in front of the Shunsaikan bus stop. The market is particularly notable for only carrying foods and ingredients from Yabakei Gorge. All of the market's products bear stickers which clearly show the person who made them, and customers are sure to enjoy the freshness and reasonable prices only a farmers' market like this can deliver. The market's original bath salts made with yuzu citrus fruit, and soft-serve ice cream available from March each year are particularly popular, but in addition to these customers will find a wide array of seasonal foods and ingredients. The market also sells inexpensive yet large and filling bento meals.

東九州道のここのインターは前にも利用したことがあるのですが、ここには気がつきませんでした。食事処も併設の施設です。駐車場も十分な広さがあります。ブルーベリーがお得感があったので、ブラックベリー、野菜少々と合わせて購入して帰りました。

Oita Areas
A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths. The mountainous, coastal prefecture of Oita is renowned for having more onsen than any other prefecture in Japan, most of which lie in the city of Beppu on the west coast of Kyushu, recognizable by its pungent sulphuric aroma and the clouds of steam that puff up across the hillside. Away from the Beppu hot springs await mountains, waterfalls, and temples, so don’t hesitate to explore Oita a little further.
