Sato no Eki Onoiwa no Sho
This rural tourism complex a 10-minute drive from the Ajimu Interchange on the Higashikyushu Expressway has a river and a park and serves as space where the rural and urban intermingle. Its farmers' market sells specialty products from Ajimu-machi, fresh vegetables picked on local farms, and an abundant variety of grapes. The market also carries a wide selection of handmade breads and Japanese deli-style foods, as well as seasonal manju buns. The adjoining restaurant serves local cuisine, and dishes made with local soft-shelled turtle, such as the soft-shelled turtle udon noodles, are particularly recommended. The Kyoho grape soft-serve ice cream is also popular.
