    This specialty shop in Kamiamakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture is well known for its roughly 15-meter statue of Amakusa Shiro, the tallest of its kind in Japan. They have a produce stand selling local vegetables as well as prepared products like original shochu liquor made from local sweet potatoes, confections, and pickled vegetables.     熊本空港の売店で買った、Sakata Sweet のシフォンケーキが美味しかったので、インターネットで調べたところ、この近くで製造して、萌の里で販売しているとのことを知り、帰り道で立ち寄りました。お店の方に伺ったところ、3箇所に分かれて、商品が置かれているのを、丁寧に案内して頂きました。いろいろな種類のSweetが買えて、楽しめました。なお、入り口で、くまモンと一緒に写真も撮りました。

There's also an observatory with a sweeping view of the Kyushu Mountains, a campground, and a park perfect for small children, making this a great destination for the whole family and for a variety of purposes.     日田経由で杖立温泉から小国へとドライブした帰りに立ち寄りました。国道の山側に店舗があり駐車場はおもに道路をはさんで川沿いに広くとってあります。残りが少なかった小国の牛乳とヨーグルトを買って帰りました。車で日田から小国、阿蘇方面のドライブなら立ち寄りやすい場所ではないでしょうか。

    442号沿いにあり、幟に誘われ入店。 山吹色のジャージヨーグルトや黒川温泉湯上がりカフェオレ、チーズケーキを買いました。 消費期限が近い物があり3割引で買えた物も有り、お得に頂きました。 ジャージーヨーグルトとチーズケーキは非常に濃厚で美味しかったです。 カフェオレも甘くなくスッキリ味で朝の湯上がりにはバッチリでした。
