    熊本空港のすぐ近くなので、空港に行く前に寄りました。えっここ？看板がなければ見過ごすところでした。駐車場の奥の倉庫の横に店があります。時間が15：30と遅かったので、いきなり団子のプレーンが6個しか残っていませんでした。プレーン6個とよもぎ2個を買いました。1つ税込み120円です。賞味期限は当日ですが、冷蔵庫だと3日、冷凍庫だと1ヶ月もつそうです。 確かに冷凍したのを90秒ほど温めるとおいしいです...

    This shop is owned and operated by Antagatadokosa, a longstanding confectionary maker which was established in 1949. Located on the second floor of Aso Kumamoto Airport, Kumamoto's gateway to the skies, the shop sells a wide variety of confections. The shop's popular Higo Daiko are the company's signature product and consist of fresh roasted peanuts mixed with rice snacks and mizuame glucose syrup. These tasty treats have won the Honor Award in the National Confectionary Exposition and make a perfect Kumamoto souvenir. Meanwhile, the shop's Kokuto Kurumi walnuts covered with Okinawan brown sugar are a favorite of people of all ages, from children to adults.

    This bakery with a green awning is a three-minute drive from Hitoyoshi Station. Produced locally for local consumption, they make excellent bread and sweets. The bread is made from naturally fermented dough and has a simple flavor that's so good you'll want to eat it every day. The wide variety of items available include an-butter rolls filled with handmade red bean paste and fresh butter; Italiano rolls baked with a blend of cream cheese, salami, and pesto; and apple kouign-amann pastries featuring Aomori-grown apples wrapped in a croissant crust.

    "A shop founded in 1897 specializing in shochu Japanese spirits from the Kuma region. They handle 28 varieties from around the area. As it's sold measured out in 100 milliliter units, it's a good way to try Kuma-made shochu's variety of flavors and aromas. The knowledgeable staff members are qualified ""Kuma shochu guides"" who will tell you how the spirits are made and ways to store them.     A long-established teahouse founded in 1877. Located deep in the Kyushu Mountains, they still make tea with the same flavor as the old days. Their Inaka Bancha has been developed by the owners over the generations and has become popular as a health drink. Rich in catechin, it's low in caffeine like hojicha (roasted green tea). At the adjacent tea storehouse, you can learn about the history and properties of tea while looking out at the garden of a merchant townhouse.

    A brewery established in 1931. Overlooking the Kuma River in Hitoyoshi, they continue making miso and soy sauce, must-haves for Japanese households. The soy sauce still has the same great flavor today as when they were founded. It's produced in a rich natural environment with the clear water of the Kuma River. Their natural fermenting mash is made by maturing koji bacteria and yeast, the source of the product's savoriness and aroma. Popular varieties of miso include their preservative-free Umakuchi Miso, barley miso made with domestic ingredients, and natto miso made with traditional methods, not to mention their standard miso.

    A Western-style sweet shop located about a three-minute walk from Hitoyoshi Station. Selling items like cake and baked goods, you can spot it by the green sign and its front lawn. Their popular cheesecake with a pudding-like texture has fans coming from near and far. Their many limited seasonal items include oak-leaf wrapped kashiwa mochi rice cakes and matcha green tea tiramisu in spring and roll cakes and pies in fall made with chestnuts, a Hitoyoshi specialty. Enjoy your purchase at their eating area along with coffee or juice.
