    This is a sake brewery located on Prefectural Route 199 in Miwa, Sakurai City. It is considered as the birthplace of sake brewing and the only brewery in Miwa, where the god of sake is enshrined. Sake such as Mimurosugi is brewed here. Also, a sake tasting tour based on Miwa, the holy land of sake is available (reservations a week in advance are required).

    大神神社参道にもお店がありました。三輪駅前にも。寒い日だったので甘酒も美味しくて。お土産用に三諸杉の小瓶購入しました。友人のも好評でした。

    "Founded in 1702, this sake brewery has been in the sake business for 300 years. The brewery is famous for its Junmai ""Hatsugasumi"" and ""Yamato no Dobu"", etc. There is also a café in the brewery, using a renovated earthen floor from the brewery's original storehouse built 300 years ago and a tatami room built in the Meiji era."

    道の駅宇陀路大宇陀から古い町並みが残る松山地区へ入り、数十ｍ南側に歩くと、軒先に杉玉が下がっていました。この建物が、久保本家酒造です。 久保本家酒造は、現在も酒造りをしていて、杉玉の下の入口の戸を開けるとお酒が並んでいました。大きな造りのこの建物は、黒漆喰の外壁が素敵です。元禄１５年に創業ということなので、300年の歴史がある造り酒屋なんですね。

    This sake brewery established in the early Meiji period makes the sake used for sake offerings at Tanzan Shrine. It is notable for its Daimyoshoyazake brand and its kijoshu (sake made by substituting water with sake in some processes). The brewery's amber Ruijoshu received the top marks in the koshu (aged sake) category at the International Wine Challenge 2017, earning it the Koshu Trophy. After being brewed to a Sake Meter Value of at least -50, this sake is aged for 10 years inside a cellar. It has a substantial sweetness unlike that of a kijoshu. The brewery is popular for its broad lineup, which ranges from fresh, unrefined and unfiltered sake as well as fine junmai daiginjo.

    古い街並みが残る、宇陀松山地区にある蔵元。代々稲戸屋の屋号で商売され、日本酒千代の松をつくっています。黒壁でうだつのある商家で、重厚な建物です。

With a reputation almost as stellar as that of Kyoto, Nara is a must-visit for those searching for the remains of "traditional Japan." The largely green Nara city holds the majority of the prefecture’s treasures, such as the iconic Todai-ji Temple, in which a 15-meter tall Great Buddha sits, and Nara Park, where deer flock to befriend passersby. While mountains are by no means hard to come by in this area, for hiking with a reward, head to the Kii Mountains’ Yoshino district in spring, when the hillsides put on an impressive display of white and pink cherry blossoms.
