    Kikyo Shingen Mochi has been awarded many prizes including the honorary president award, at the National Confectionery Exposition. The factory is surrounded by lush vegetation with a site area of 11,000 square meters and a total floor area of 5,000 square meters. On the factory tour you can see how 100,000 pieces of Kikyo Shingen Mochi a day are packed meticulously by hand. You can also have a go at packing some of the mochi and enjoy sampling some of the delicious sweets. Admission is free and advance reservations are not required if going alone. Factory tour times are fixed so be sure to check in advance.

    "Suntory Whisky Hakushu Distillery (also known as the ""Mountain Forest Distillery"") is located in the foothills of the Southern Alps, around 20 minutes' drive from the Kobuchizawa Interchange of the Chuo Expressway. Within the Distillery grounds there is the Suntory Museum of Whisky, which enables visitors to learn about the history of Suntory 's Hakushu single malt whisky and about global whisky culture, a shop selling Suntory Whisky Hakushu Distillery goods, a restaurant serving delicious seasonal foods made using locally-produced ingredients, a bar, etc. There is no admission charge, but advance booking is required (bookings must be made at least one day before the visit). Distillery tours (with whisky tasting) are available; there is a charge for these tours."

    Chateraise Hakushu Plant is a confectionery maker in the famous water forest at the foot of the Southern Alps (Akaishi Mountains). Ingredients are brought in directly from mainly local contracted farmers. The plant focuses on producing safe products using as few additives as possible for better health. And with regards to product research on limiting sugars they published a paper at the 55th Japan Diabetes Society. They have a range of reduced sugar and allergy-free confectionery products.

  • Suntory Natural Mineral Water Southern Alps Hakushu Plant

    It is possible to take a tour (free, reservation required) of the SUNTORY natural water factory. The tour facilities underwent renewal in April, 2019. In addition to the tour of the manufacturing line for the up-close feel, through projection mapping, you can experience the journey of natural water in the nature-filled Southern Alps area. After the tour, you can enjoy taste-testing of products. You can also get a whiskey-making tour at the adjacent Hakushu Distillery. There are sufficient facilities, such as Bar Hakushu, a restaurant, shops and more.

    かなりの種類のワイン、スパークリングワインが試飲できますが、運転手は葡萄ジュースだけでした(残念)一緒にいった人間の味の感想を信じてワインとかスパークリングワインを買って来ました、自分で唯一飲めた葡萄ジュースは美味しかったので5.6回飲んでもちろん買って来ました。家に帰ってワイン飲みましたがとても美味しかったです。次は運転しない時にもう一度行きたいです。

    This winery was born out of a desire to create wine that pared well with Japanese cuisine. Located in the Kofu Basin, the winery's brick building is surrounded by a vineyard. Visitors can enjoy winery tours and tastings. No reservations are required for the 20-minute tours, which cover the entire process from pressing to fermentation. In addition to their wines, the winery's shop also offers coconut gel desserts made in the adjacent factory.

    施設に入ると小さなプラスチックのコップを渡され、自由にワインの試飲ができます。試飲の中にはナタデココ入りのゼリーもあり、それがとても美味しかったです。ゼリーはスーパーでも販売されているものなので、ワイナリーでは買わずに近所のスーパーで買いました。 また1時間に1回、ワイナリー?ワイン作りをする場所?の見学ツアーも開催されていました。所要時間は10〜15分程だったと思います。
