    "This malt whiskey distillery, also known as the ""Forest Distillery"", is located in the foothills of the Southern Alps approximately 20 minutes by car from Kobuchizawa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. On the grounds is the ""Whiskey Museum"" where visitors can learn about the history of the birth of the single malt whiskey ""Hakushu"", and the worldwide culture of whiskey. There is also a shop that offers goods limited to the distillery, as well as restaurants and bars featuring seasonal dishes made from local produce. There is no charge for admission but reservations (at least one day in advance) are required. A factory tour (including tasting) is also available (fees apply)."
  • Kikyo Shingen Mochi Factory Theme Park

    Kikyo Shingen Mochi has been awarded many prizes including the honorary president award, at the National Confectionery Exposition. The factory is surrounded by lush vegetation with a site area of 11,000 square meters and a total floor area of 5,000 square meters. On the factory tour you can see how 100,000 pieces of Kikyo Shingen Mochi a day are packed meticulously by hand. You can also have a go at packing some of the mochi and enjoy sampling some of the delicious sweets. Admission is free and advance reservations are not required if going alone. Factory tour times are fixed so be sure to check in advance.

    This tourist facility in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture is focused on grapes and wine. The underground wine cave offers brands of wines that have passed the wine quality screening organized by the city. In addition to wine tastings, the facility also offers an area where guests can enjoy wine as part of a meal or a barbeque. The hot springs spa featuring views of Southern Japan Alps, the Kofu Basin, and the Misaka Mountains is also popular.

Its Japanese sake is famous, but they make wine and liqueur as well.

The winery is divided into one area that can be toured with a reservation and one which can be toured without a reservation. Winery tours are for guests aged 20 and older.

    Chateraise Hakushu Plant is a confectionery maker in the famous water forest at the foot of the Southern Alps (Akaishi Mountains). Ingredients are brought in directly from mainly local contracted farmers. The plant focuses on producing safe products using as few additives as possible for better health. And with regards to product research on limiting sugars they published a paper at the 55th Japan Diabetes Society. They have a range of reduced sugar and allergy-free confectionery products.

    Admission and wine tasting is free at this popular winery visited by some 90,000 people per year. Their winery tours offer visitors a chance to visit the winery's underground wine cellar, which features murals on the history of viticulture (grape cultivation) and winemaking, their low-temperature storehouse, where the scent of wine hangs in the air, and their wine bottling line. At the winery's guest room, guests can enjoy paid tastings of its award-winning wines along with commentary by the winery's staff. Winery tours and paid tastings at the guest room both require a reservation.

They also hold winery tours, one for regular tourist customers and another for alcohol buyers in the hospitality industry.

    This sake brewery is in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. This historic sake brewery was founded in 1750, and uses underground water from Mt. Komagatake to finish the sake characterized by its clean, crisp taste. You can tour a number of historic buildings here, including the brewery, and the main building, called the Anzaisho, which was used as accommodations by the Meiji Emperor. The brewery also runs a restaurant focusing on local production for local consumption where can enjoy the sake with a meal.

    This winery located along Prefectural Route 34 in Enzanshimoozo, Koshu City is where you can experience a free factory tour, as well as tours of the breweries and storehouses, wine tastings, shopping and more. At the associated Wine Cafe, a shop which uses earthen warehouses from the Edo period that have been recognized as tangible cultural assets to Japanese history, you can enjoy all of the wines brewed by the winery, as well as snacks, lunch, coffee and homemade cakes.

    This winery, located in Shimoiwasaki Katsunuma-cho, Koshu City, was founded in 1899. The winery offers guided tours during which participants can learn about the winemaking process and view what goes on inside the facility, including the distillation room, bottling plant, and wine cellar. The winery also has a shop where you can sample around 40 different wines at any given time.

They also sell their original glassware in their on-site gallery."

    This winery is located in the Fujii area of Katsunuma-cho, Koshu City. In a shop with over 120 years of history, founded in the Meiji period, they make wine from grapes grown in the company's own farm. You can visit the museum containing historical resources, the storehouses and where the grapes are pressed for free, and twice a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon) you can enter the rooms themselves. You can also pay for a wine tasting and to buy from their shop.

    This winery is located in the Watazuka area of Katsunuma-cho, Koshu City. It has continuously won prizes at domestic wine competitions, and even has a strong international reputation. They run a wine tour on a paid subscription basis, where you will be introduced to wine cultivation and processing, as well as get to experience a wine tasting. There is a wine and wine goods shop, and it is also partnered with a guest room, where you can also pay for a wine tasting.

    A glass studio surrounded by forest on the northwestern side of Fuji Hokuroku Park. In addition to its own pieces, the studio also displays and sells works carefully chosen each year from artists active across Japan and around the world. Not just the glass but all of the components used in the studio's pieces are original, and the studio can also make pieces according to your design. The studio's glass bead making and accessory making classes can be enjoyed by persons of elementary school age and older. Participants can choose from among 12 different patterns and a variety of cords and clasps.
