    Chiba Pref. Nodashi Noda 110 Kikkoman Foods Noda Factory
    This exhibition hall is located in the Kikkoman Noda Factory, about three minutes on foot from Nodashi Station. They conduct tours that let you see the soy sauce manufacturing process, including the fermentation of the mash. Displays provide a sensory experience of soy sauce, and you'll learn a lot about it through audio-video displays and quizzes. Their shop sells Kikkoman items and Noda specialty products, and their cafe serves light fare featuring soy sauce, including soy sauce soft serve ice cream.

    This tour center services the Yamasa Choshi soy sauce factory. With a reservation, you can learn about the history of Yamasa soy sauce and check out the manufacturing process. They have videos, guided commentary, virtual learning opportunities, and displays with samples of koji starter and moromi soy sauce mash. Their Soy Sauce Tasting Hall has an exhibit of soy sauce making equipment and lets visitors try hand-toasted rice crackers and soy sauce soft serve ice cream. Reservations aren't required at the tasting hall.

    This dye house is in Chuocho, Choshi City. They use traditional Edo period techniques used to dye Japanese fisherman's celebratory kimonos known as Maiwaigi to make the maiwai-shiki tairyo bata flags flown for fishing boat launching ceremonies. These flags have been designated an official Chiba Prefecture Traditional Craft. Today they're also given as celebratory gifts. They can be made to order.

    "This brewery located along the Kururi Highway was founded in 1716. It brews the renowned sake ""Fukuiwai"" that uses remarkable water from Kururi that was chosen as one of the 100 Exquisite and Well-Conserved Waters of the Heisei Period (1989?2019), and has been highly receiving, winning gold medals seven times at the Annual Japan Sake Awards.     This apiary is where you can see the honey-making process, experience making honey and sample it. On the tour, staff members guide you through the ecology of honeybees. In addition, for the experience plan, you can squeeze out honey using centrifuges and taste a beehive. Reservations for individual and group tours and experiences are required in advance.

    This is one of Japan's largest automated factories. Located on National Route 16 in Noda City, it produces milk and yogurt, as well as items like flavored drinks and coffee. Their free factory tours give visitors a look at the dairy product manufacturing process and more. They need to be booked at least seven days in advance.

    This is the second factory of Nagomi no Yoneya, which manufactures Japanese sweets such as Narita's yokan (red bean jelly). At the information center, there are videos and explanations for visitors about knowledge related to yokan and Japanese sweets. In addition, you can also buy Japanese confectionery after the factory tour. Telephone reservations are required for a tour.

    Higeta Shoyu's Choshi factory is about 12 minutes on foot from JR Choshi Station. Its museum displays equipment like large vats and stirring rods used to make the company's soy sauce. There are also unusual items like an extremely large plane used for making the vats and a 1928 record of the factory's song. There's also an eye-catching fresco celebrating 385 years since the company's founding by the painters Hideo and Yumiko Sakata who lived in Italy. You can learn about how the Choshi factory functions through a virtual tour with film screenings and a virtual reality scope.

    This is a glass workshop in Kitaasai, Chikura-cho, Minamiboso City. The workshop mainly creates item using glass blowing techniques and in the gallery space glass artworks are available for purchase. Also on the weekends and public holidays (on weekdays as well with reservations), baby footprint and pet paw print making and glass blowing experiences are held.

    This sake brewery is in I, Sawara, Katori City. Established in 1825, it uses the early rice and exceptional water from the embankments of the Tone River region. Tours of the brewery are free (reservations required for 15 or more), where one can learn about the sake making process and enjoy sake tasting. The shop on the grounds offers sweets made from sake and other specialty items.

    車はすぐとなりの観光バスの駐車場に止めさせてくれました。 工場見学しました。 建物はすごく古い感じです。 小さいスペースですが、売店でいろいろ売っています。 叶というお酒を買いましたが、ちょっと甘い感じです。 いろいろと試飲もできますが、叶はできません。
