    This complex is at the entrance to Kumano, the World Heritage Site area. To reach it, take the Mie Kotsu Bus from JR Kumanoshi Station and get off at the Onigajyo-higashiguchi Bus Stop. It's about a three-minute walk from there. The first-floor shop sells drinks made with Niihime, a special citrus fruit of the area, finished products, and the rare Nachiguro-ishi black stone that's only found in Kamikawa-cho, Kumano City. Their second-floor Sea View Restaurant offers a menu with local ingredients including dishes like their Red and White rice bowl with Kumano sea bream and tuna. Their crunchy shrimp cutlets and their local Niihime Burgers with tartar sauce made with Niihime juice are popular.

    Magotaro Auto Campground is located close to both the mountains and the sea in the town of Kihoku, Kitamuro County, Mie Prefecture. It offers many options for different numbers of people and their various requirements: It has campsites with AC electrical hook-ups, sites for day use, drive-in campsites, and cottages and log cabins that sleep up to 12 people. Visitors can also rent camping equipment, even tents. There is a cooking and barbecuing area and a managers' building that contains a coin laundry and other facilities that help visitors have a pleasant stay.

    ソロキャンプ 割引で行ってきました。海沿いですが潮の香りはありませんでした。1区画が広く、大きめテントでも充分な広さだと思います。芝生なので直火禁止。炊事場広い、ゴミ袋くれる、ゴミ捨て場ある、炭捨て場ある。 22時消灯なのに炊事場は明るいので近くだと明るいので睡眠の邪魔。 とても風が強かったのでちゃんとペグ止めしましょう。 朝早くから船が出るので音が気になります。

    This beach is located a five-minute walk from the JR Atashika Station in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. The beach has such gentle wave and smooth sand, capable of entrancing viewers, that it was chosen as one of Japan's top 100 beaches by the Environment Agency. It is also distinctive in that visitors can barbeque and set up tents at this beach. There are toilets and showers available, so it is convenient for families. Visitors can also marine sports such as stand-up paddle boats and sea kayaking, as well as the yearly fireworks display.

    三重県の多様な海岸線の中でも熊野地区の三木里・大泊とここの浜は海水浴にも適した優しい砂浜が続く。 昔は紀勢線利用だったが今は車でだろうか。 この駐車場はバス停で分岐して、新鹿漁港への途中にある。 今回は徐福茶屋へ行く前に寄った。

    This beach is located a ten-minute walk from the JR Mikisato Station, or approximately a five-minute drive from the Kumano-Owase Road MikisatoInterchange. The wide beach boasts approximately one kilometer of pure white sand and perfectly clear water. The coast is lined with pine trees which are said to have been planted by Kii no Yoshimune. Facilities such as showers and toilets are available, and in the summer, the beach is crowded with young people and families who come to swim and camp. There is also sea kayaking and a beachball tournament.

    This doll museum is situated on National Route 42 in Kodono-cho, Owase City. The museum operates out of a structure built in the Meiji period to serve as a villa for the Doi, a forestry family from Owase. The museum displays local traditional Owase bushi dolls, other Japanese dolls, and dolls gathered from countries around the world. The museum also adjoins Doi Bamboo Forest, a bamboo forest planted by the very same Doi family.

    This deep ocean water intake facility is situated on National Route 311 in Furue-cho, Owase City. The only water intake facility in the Chukyo area, the facility intakes and supplies Mie Owase deep sea water from 400 meters below the surface. The facility supplies five varieties of deep sea water of differing salinities and hardnesses. The facility also serves as a center for information on deep sea water and holds activity classes and events which make use of a touch pool in the facility's courtyard.

    This pass connects Kihoku Town in Kitamuro County, Mie Prefecture with Taiki Town in Watarai County, Mie Prefecture. A part of the ancient Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes which in modern times have received World Heritage designation, the pass was once situated on the border between Ise Province and Kii Province and served as a veritable entranceway for pilgrims making their way to Kumano. Today, the pass still delights with a sweeping view of the sea off Kumano.

Consisting of a pebble beach as well as a sandy beach with blue ocean and a commanding view of Maruyama Island and Akano Island, in summer it bustles with swimmers and beach-goers. There are lodging facilities and hot spring bathhouses in the area, as well as an adjoining seaside campground.

    This fish pond facility is located inside Kumanonadarinkai Park situated on Prefectural Route 766 in Higashinagashima, Kihoku Town, Kitamuro County, Mie Prefecture. From rafts connected directly to the land, you can fish for red sea bream, white trevally, hamachi (young Japanese amberjack), and other fish. The facility offers a variety of fun and easy fishing plans, as well, such as a simple single sea bream fishing course and a weekday two-hour course which provides everything you need to fish. Advance reservation required.

    昨年のＧＷは予約できなかったのですが、今年は予約がとれたので、愛犬とキャンプに行きました。芝生のドッグランができていて楽しめました。キャンプ場の横には川があり、うちの犬も泳ぐのが大好きなので。よろこんで遊んでいました。キャンプサイトは広く、ウッドデッキもあって、とてもくつろげます。また、看板犬のジャック君もデン君も、とても可愛いですよ。クルミちゃんと会えなかったのが残念です。

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
