"SONOKO is an original brand based on the idea of ""inner and outer beauty"" by looking good and getting healthy through eating delicious food. Founded by Suzuki Sonoko, a researcher of beauty and cuisine and renowned beauty expert, it was the first restaurant in Japan to serve additive and oil-free food. In accord with her belief that ""the foundation of beauty is health,"" it serves its healthy fare made of carefully selected ingredients in a bright and cozy ambiance. They also sell original cosmetics that steer clear of six additives, in addition to food."

This is the flagship store of the Kanazawa gold leaf maker, Hakuza. Kanazawa City, the Gold Leaf Town, produces almost all of the gold leaf in Japan. Traditionally used in shrine and temple structures, for Buddhist images, and used on artistic screens and murals, nowadays metal leafing is widely being used in other interior and cosmetic fields. At Hakuza, the metal leafing is extensively used in the tableware, interior decoration and accessories, as well as in the cosmetics, and western confections in collaboration with pastry chef, Mr. Sunami.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
